My review of the 100th Anniversary Schwinn Black Phantom cruiser bike. There were 5000 of these produced by Schwinn. I came across this one still new in the box and pulled it out to do a review. You can see the full article at http://www.ratrodbikes.com

Very nice bike, thanks for sharing. Lots of cadmium plated parts, horn button, slotted screws washers on seat post, axle races, etc. Keep her dry and protected from corrosion and you will have a beautiful gift to pass down. Thanks again.

My cousin had one in the 1950s and by 1961 or so, I got a Schwinn Panther III (red, white, and lots of chrome) at Christmas. I rode it from 9 to 17 (last summer was delivering telegrams in my small town before going to college).

Before the Schwinn shop closed for good, I was able to buy one.
It was the display model & I got it for a very good price.
The ride is very comfortable for a reproduction. I also own a 1952
Black and a 1953 Green Phantom. I’m currently working on a 1954
Red Phantom. -
Nice I got the green phantom
