Congratulations on taking image quality. They knew how to choose the place, because it is one of the 10 most beautiful places in the world for trekking. Peru, wonderful and hospitable country. Greetings from Argentina.

Buena Producción un saludo de Marcos Chamorro a todos quienes hicieron posible este video.

Well shot film but these guys look so arrogant. I think you should be more respectful of the locals because you are a guest in their country. Raging with your bicycle around a foreign city is the ultimate symbol of this arrogance. Presenting the locals as drunks who randomly pull guns is also very disrespectful to a country that has offered you hospitality. Maybe this comes from the cyclists' youth and lack of life experience. I hope they grow to be more appreciative of other cultures.

Cordillera Huayhuash using mountainbikes, is not a good idea. This guys are lucky that they did not break their neck or worst. It looks to me worst than walking. I did this beautiful circuit years ago and I enjoyed very much. Finding a guy carrying a gun in Peru is common, what do you expect in the middle of nowhere....call 911....?? visiting Peru without speaking Spanish and without any local guide is just stupid....I am sure any hiker will tell you the same Huayhuash is beautiful and one of the best places to visit in this planet.

In 10:54 the guy said: "Te voy a pasar huevo, no te preocupes" wich means "I will rub you egg, don't be afraid". In Perú, there is this ritual when people rub chicken eggs to childs who are scare, they think they could put appart the fear into the egg. As they live far from cities, they should take care of themselfs. I think that is why they have guns, in case they are in danger in their trips. Maybe shooting in the air is something that they do to encourage themself or maybe it was because they were drinking, i'm not sure of that. However, i'm very sure that if they were bad people, they would stole your cameras or your bags, no doubt about it. That part of Perú is really calm, but i could understand why you freaked out; even for peruvians that is not comun. Maybe as you could not communicate with them, you couldn't understand what they were doing. They like to see foirgeins people and fool around, even they took photos of you. I'm sorry that instead of give you courage, they freaked you out. But sure, that is a great story to tell to anyone :D! jaja
PD: Sorry for my English, I hope you enjoyed my country and your adventure. -
Looks awesome. What bikes you guy's riding ?
-
lame as fuck why go from colorado all the fucking way to peru...like why, just to push a bike around.

great stuff, caught the video 2 years late but still. did you guys research on how to carry load or talk to experienced people before leaving? as an experienced MTB rider in the andes I can tell you that wearing those heavy backpacks instead of using panniers to keep your center of gravity low is a dangerous decision. keep up the good wrk and be safe!
