2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S Top Speed Test
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Took the new Kawasaki Vulcan S for a spin and liked it! Camera view sucked but... I'm guessing it would do 110 to 115 if really topped out but I really liked the bike. Comfy and quick!

Bloody hell, your roads are worse than ours!
-
i reach 185 kmh, ( 115 mph) no windshield, cruise position, but the vulcan digital counter is optimistic and not accurate..when the digital speed indicator along the roads give me a 55mph, i read 59 on my vulcan.. as the difference tends to be larger at high speed, i guess when I read 115 I might be at 105 max.

It's good considering it's engine is gears and customised for cruiser characteristics like low down power and torque. A after market exhaust will defiantly help this engine achieve and show what it can really do. Two brothers exhaust full system adds about 5bhp which makes a little improvement. Modern cruiser styling is hit and miss these days but the Kawasaki does it well. What do you think?

Not trying to be that guy and one up anybody. Think it's probably due to your seating position and windshield but I opened up my bare bones s recently and hit 117mph. I'd say it could creep past 120mph.
I was also pushed back in the seat and hugging the gas tank though. -
I hate passing a cop when Im doing that.
-
lot of variables, there, windshield is killing mph, seating position...the bike is much faster than 107mph.
-
it's got the ninja 650 parallel twin, but modified to provide more torque at lower speeds i should time the 0-60 but its got more than enough power to make me happy without even knowing.
-
I hit 112 last night on mine.
-
I would rather hear the wind noise over that music

Please answer this...how would it do 2 up I'm 5'11 179 pounds and my lady is 5'7 130 pounds?

I think the Kawasaki Vulcan as same as with an ER-6N engine, But with different gear ratio for comfort and smooth acceleration.
The TOP speed it's not main focus for kawasaki to this bike.
I love this bike, It's really fun and less stamina to ride this. Everyday's bike? it's no problemo...
:D hehehe -
Does that windscreen do much for comfort at high speeds?
-
Does that bike have the throttle restriction fitted?
-
I have been thinking of getting a Kawasaki ER-6F, but looking at this Vulcan S, I am totally in love with this ride. Looks like I have changed my mind :) (I used to ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 during college days and I've always loved it)

thanks so much...I've been looking at this bike for 3 weeks. I am only 5' feet and I will be riding with alot of sportsbikes..I didn't want ride leaning over...but, I don't want to get left too far behind if I need to accelerate....looks like I found my bike....headed to the Kawi dealer in the A.M.

so is there going to be a trade in in the future!?
