2015 Motobecane Le Champion CF Elite

2015 Motobecane Le champion CF Elite from bikesdirect.com. The stock comes with Tektro R540 brake, which I upgraded to Ultegra. I also swapped out the tires with Vittoria Zaffiro, and added a chain guard. Assembling the bike was a breeze. The only problem I had was the front derailleur. The new Ultegra 6800 front derailleur has a pin next to the anchor bolt. You can route the cable on either sides of the pin, based on how the cable angle coming from the bottom bracket is. I used to work at a bike shop so I know how things work, but I was unable to eliminate the front chain ring rubbing issue. After some google search, I realized this new cable routing feature. There is a plastic tool that you mount on the derailleur to determine the cable routing. Since I don't have this tool, I just re-routed the cable from the other side of this pin. Suddenly the rubbing is gone. I also re-wrapped the handlebar tape because they were wrapped in wrong direction. http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/road_bikes/lechampion-cf-elite-xiv.htm

That my man, is an absolute bad-ass machine. Just beautiful. I bet she flies. How many miles on it now and how is the frame holding up? Is the frame super stiff? Can you ride for hours without a lot of discomfort?

Id really like some info on this bike as they have it for $1599 on BD right now. I know the ultegra is great but what about the frame? will it hold up? what is your height and weight so i can reference to me? give me any positives or negatives you may have.

Yeah I bought mine back in 13. Very great riding machine. I wish I could the say about myself. Well worth the money I paid for it. Bikes Direct FTW.

Purchased the same bike in March. Absolutely love it! It's a sweet ride for the money.
