I want to start by thanking Absolute Bikes for letting me hop on their brand new bike and take it out for a rip (on which I dented the rim already!!!). I knew that I already liked the SB5, and I felt that the plus tires didn't change that at all. The plus tires definitely helped me in certain situations such as traction and rocky sections, but did make for slightly slower turning of the bike. I personally will opt for the standard tire, but I can also see this being a great fit for many riders looking to up their game and gain confidence in the chunky stuff, speed in the downhills, and just all around looking to have a great time.
