Here are 27 bikes you have to see to believe they are actually real! These amazing innovations of the regular bike will blow your mind! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 14. Acrow Bike Australian company Acrow built around one hundred prototypes of this bike whose transmission was built into the front wheel. This unique design allowed the rear of the bike to be converted into a shopping basket. The sloping seat allowed for riders to adjust for height by simply scooting up and down rather than having to adjust the seat manually. 13. Itera Volvo put a lot of money into building this plastic bike. It had a unisex frame and was intended to be a low maintenance option for commuters. The wheels were molded from glass filled polyamide. The plastic frame did not work well and caused riders to expend more energy and the handlebars snapped way too easily to be considered safe. After causing a publicity storm and launching the bike they sold thirty thousand or so units before abandoning the idea entirely in favor of cars and whatever else Volvo builds. 12. All Weather Bike Towards the end of the country’s baby boom in 1959 and at a time when European people were ditching bikes for the creature comforts that cars provide Italian designers tried building a bike that would provide more comfort. Maurice Moss pitched the bike towards people that wouldn’t ride for fear of getting their clothes wet. The outer shielding was glass reinforced polyester and incorporated leg guards much like a scooter would. No one ever really bought into the idea of the bike and only thirty or forty were ever made. 11. ElliptiGo If you love riding ellipticals but hate that they remain stationary and you never get to explore on one then this bike is the perfect answer for you. A set of elliptical steps were built to replace pedals. It offers riders the best of both worlds when it comes to jogging and riding a bike. 10. Couch Bike Two guys recently pulled up to a fast food joint on this awesome contraption for the stoner in all of us. Now you can really be a couch surfer! Apparently this was made by the same people who made the… 9. Treadmill Bike photo? This is just like the elliptical bike for those of us who love running on a treadmill. The contraption allows you to power your bike forward by using the power of walking or running, whichever you prefer. It may not get you a date but the body that you get from using it for a month might. 8. Bike Art Designed by Jens Eichler, Renovatia will be hard to ride for fear of damaging its amazing craftsmanship and beautiful finish. Imagine getting into a serious accident and breaking the bike. This one is probably best left on the rack. 7. Innesenti With a design that takes ideas from Formula one and Indy Cars this bike is not cheap. Even the most basic models come out to $11,000 or more! It provides riders with amazing acceleration and shock resistance for the bumpiest of back roads. One amenity that such a high cost brings (and there better be plenty!) is that the bike is designed with a seat that is fitted to the customers exact dimensions, making for a ride that is as comfortable as you can get on a bike. 6. Forkless Bike This bike will have people either thinking they are hallucinating or that the bike is broken beyond repair. This is simply because it was designed to not have the fork that comes with all bikes. Olli Erkkila designed this interesting art piece that probably wasn’t meant to be taken on a cruise. 5. Invisible Bike Everything on this crazy bicycle is transparent except for the chain and bearings. The bike was made using Lexan panels and was put together in 2005 and ridden around Austin, Texas. At first glance it appeared the man was riding on nothing at all! It’s hard to blame people he does look invisible! 4. Flying Bike Paravelo built this bike which is the world’s first that can fly. Well technically it's also a parasail but still it's a bike that flies and that's all that counts here. 3. Twicycle This is another great workout bike. Your feet crank the back wheels and there is a contraption on the front of the bike that forces you to use your arms to power the front wheels. Its an ideal full body workout while being able to ride a bike at the same time. 2. Streetflyer You power this bike by running and once you get going you can drop into the built in harness and cruise to your heart's desire. It's hard to say without using it but looking at it makes one wonder how you would make it up a hill. 1. Pilen Concept Based on a 1930’s Le Mans racing bike, this concept my look old school but it has a lot of new age features hidden within. LED lights are built in the frame and the seat is designed to absorb shock remarkably well. The cool looking bike was made by Eric Therner for Swedish company Pilen Bikes.
