Riding no handed is actually illegal in some places. Check you local rules as pulling over to quickly put on a jersey or rain gear may be better than a hefty fine from local constabulary.
-
I just can't do none handed...
-
watching people master non handed, only to be confronted by a corner. skill 2.1 maneuvering non handed.
-
I find it easier to ride no-handed just sitting right up straight rather than taking your hands a few inches off the bars. It's easier to balance yourself sitting up than it is to balance yourself leaning over from the waist without your arms holding you up.
-
Never been great at no handed
-
i never road a road bike untele a week ago and i could do all he just seid
-
I know this question is on a slightly different tangent. But what app do you recommend to use when cycling to allow others to see when you are for safety reasons? Many thanks for such great videos

About no-hand riding, the thing that really helped me to learn the skill is to know that you are way more stable when standing upright and far back. This is what you should try to do when starting out, with a hand close to the handlebar for safety of course.
-
Keep in mind that if you're having a lot of trouble riding no-handed, it can be the way the bike is set up, or a faulty headset (headset bearings in the front). I had a road bike that I bought that, for the first year, I could not get a smooth no-handed ride that I could trust out of. Finally I got thinking about possible causes (other than fork rake - which I thought it was initially due to the compact nature, and straight-bladed forks), and installed a Chris King headset into it. BAM! Just like that I was able to ride it in a stable, safe and re-assuring way with no hands just due to the new headset.

Just getting into mountain biking, and I've noticed it helps me if I can peel my eyes away from 5 ft in front of my tire so that I can see what's coming and avoid going airborne...Thanks for the video!

he's not even wearing a helmet - he's taken helmet hair to the next level!!
-
Those Kask aero helmets are beginning to get to a Spaceballs-level of bulbousness.

Riding at slow speed is what kills me because you need it to master climbing steep hills. I am all over the place when the grade is 8% or more. Something else you need balance for is riding out of the saddle.
-
Clearly Dan's helmet game is no match for his hair game...
-
haha also 4th skill: is how to put the helmet on your head like a pro :)
-
apparently ive been a pro since I was 6
