Linka is dumb. They can just lift up the bike and leave. who gives a shit about the "ring." All they care about is that they have a new bike.
-
what happens if your phone is dead
-
In the Lika advert when the thief tried to lift the bike and it set of the alarm the owner just looked at him like bitch theeeeeeeeee fuckkkkkkk
-
just buy a 50 bucks bicycle from Kmart it will never be stolen XD
-
just blast those electronics with an emp
-
they can just hack it remotely now
-
oh nice a new thing you don't even have to touch to steal

I wouldn't consider keyless locks a safety feature; even if it has an alarm, what if the electrical parts are disabled? Its still old wine in a new bottle. What I'm hoping for is a Ulock that would have an internal electromagnetic field that would activate & disable electric tools or shock the handler whenever the outer steel core is bypassed. The cons? Too much power consumption & of course, it could be disabled with a rock tipped sledgehammer if it has no damper or shock absorber. Even if such a lock exists, I can imagine a thief pouring liquid nitrogen on it & shatter it w/just a smash of a hammer.

Linka is the best, you just need to buy U-Lock and there you go!

1. Lock the frame of the bike to something like a stop sign or a bike rack 2. In doing so, loop a cable through the u lock, around the front tyre and back to the u lock.Use something like an On Gaurd brand lock. 3. If available, get a gps retrieval unit for the bike. Never use quick release levers on the bike axels. I met a guy who has an expensive 28 inch bike. He distressed it to look like a piece of shit(another theft deterrent).
