So off road bikes have a power burst for a short time? And regular ebikes travel at a slower constant speed?
-
Hopefully they design a fat tire version next for more traction

Help me understand this technology. I am seeking a mountain bike that can climb steep trails in remote area (well away from places backpackers can go due to water constraints) and preferably one that can be recharged using solar panels for 1-2 week treks in the backcountry. With backpack and gear the bike must hand 300lbs (will add some custom aluminum racks. Need some serious torgue for accessing higher elevations (over 8000'-11,000') from 5000' starting points. Is there a boke that meets my needs?

They need to get a demo rider who can actually ride....he looks scared shitless on that thing. ha ha

Incredible bike! I own an ebike myself, only 1000w though ;)

I like the idea of having both wheels provide power, I could see that being helpful off road. The bike looks like a regular bike and it looks way to small for the guy riding it. It seems if u have these great new engines u should come up with an equally good frame, shocks, brakes ect... They all look pretty standard here.. I have seen much better designs out there.

73lb wasn't light even by 2012 standards, ebikes need to be about 38lb to make it viable - 10000watts of power is dumb too, plus throttle control is stupid too.
