I recently went from a 2015 FZ-07 to a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 636 (ZX6R) ... the bike had 1,340 miles on it, and I paid $9,100 out the door 3 months ago (paid cash) ... The insurance is $38 dollars a month ... the ZX6R keeps up with 90% of liter bikes, except top speed and even that's close enough ... How can most people justify paying $16,000+ for a liter bike and probably quadruple the amount on insurance? Thanks but I'll stick to my little tiny ninja, while you pay about $500 a month on financing and insurance for your liter bike :)

There is a gap in the market for 750. People don't need the power of a 1000 so why not save weight and rotating mass and reduce engine size. F3 800, gsxr750, Ducati 899 all see to fit this but that just 3.

Americans should never complain about insurnace costs, its dirt cheap compared to canada, Insurance+gas+PURCHASE COST = too much money for liter imo

At the end of the day I'd much rather be on a 1000 than a 600. Just like how you only use half the power of a 1000 unless you want to get in trouble same rules apply when you pop wheelies on a 600 lol just go have fun on whatever bike it is you prefer

yeah i agree on what you are doing, me im not on a track taking corners fast, a 600 can do perfect in the city and still preform great in the canyons

I totally agree with you man I own an R6 aswell with plenty of mods they are so agile an handle great nice an light wicked power band. Would like a 1000cc but to me it's more a highway bike. I'm happy with my R6 .

Insurance cost is a big point. To me, at least. A 1K bike would double the cost of insurance.

Lol ur too biased with the cbr

1000cc better for cruising

I really love your videos man. I may agree that a 600cc bike has more than enough power than we could ever need on public roads and 1000cc bikes are unnecessary. But as much as i agree to that, there's a totally different thing when we're talking about Ducatis. Panigale to be exact. For me, if I am going to buy a Panigale, it is not mainly about the power or how fast can it go. It's more about how it makes me feel when im riding on it. Just my opinion tho. But generally, 600 is enough for me :)

I realize how old this video is but i have to say a fewthings about which is the best bike. The best bike is the one you are more comfortable on, The bike you have a relationship with, and the bike that really suits your wants in a bike because honestly nobody needs a bike. We want bikes and we ride because we love it. The benefit of the 1000cc is they are a bigger heavier than a 600 so if you are riding a ton of highway the little bit of added heft helps with wind. Bigger guys also need the added ergos of the 1000 over the 600. My current rides are a '08 GSXR 750 and a Ninja 650 and I love both bikes, both have their own character. The 750 in C mode is still fast not as fast as A or B but is still fast and really helps in the rain and for when i just want to cruise. A bike is never to much lol I hate when people say that. Bikes are only as powerful as hard as you twist the throttle. I can thrash on a 600 and short shift a 1000 keeping it under 6grand and the 600 would be way more wicked at that point. Not as capable of as much power but nobody rides potential you ride what you give it. I say take the bike that fits you the best and fills your needs, take the bike you fall in love with and can read it, take the bike that makes you happy when you get on for the first time before each ride. I believe that bike are kinda like finding a woman. You have to get on as many as possible before you find "The One".

ducati sux

Liters for highway riding from what I heard (Can't confirm or deny) get slightly better gas mileage because the engine runs at lower RPMs
-
The 899 is a great option if you want the beauty without the beast. Much more tame and about $8000-$10,000 cheaper.
-
just get a better paying job! then you could say it's worth it. juss saying... win/win
-
lol. ducati gives him a ducati to advertise, and he says you shouldnt buy it.
