Adventure bikes: What to expect in 2017
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
2017 is looking like a great year for adventure and dual sport motorcycles, especially if you are just starting out. It looks like small displacement adventure bikes are going to rule 2017. This video will be discussing all the bikes I am looking forward to the most, as well as, some bikes still under development. Plenty of interesting options to discuss. The bikes are as follows: -Honda CRF250L getting updated -Honda CRF250 Rally (all new). -Kawasaki Versys X-300 (all new) -KTM 390 adventure (under development) -BMW G310GS (all new). -Suzuki V-Strom 250 (all new) -Suzuki V-strom 650/1000 (updated) -Yamaha T7 concept (in development) -KTM 800 Adventure (in development) That is a lot of adventure bikes coming out in 2017 with most being under 400cc. It has never been a better time to start riding off road. I will note that I am very pleased that the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is finally getting spoked wheels, something I felt was lacking from the 1000s line up. Enjoy, COS

Hi, what are your thoughts on the AJP PR7???

SWM Super Dual is the one I'm looking forward test-riding. Also CRF250 Rally
-
honda got all wrong again....they made heavy crf250l even heavier :(

The engine casing on the "KTM 390 Adventure" is similar to the "KTM 800 Parallel Twin Adventure" spy shots I've seen, probably the 2018 engine series designed for the new Euro emissions standards. That may help explain the large prototype catalytic converter in front of the rear wheel.

Nice info about the upcoming models. Happy New Year to ya, although its about 12 hours late :-) !

was hoping to hear about the AJP adventure bike...nice vid.

one question how much does it effect the handling of a bike if you lower the suspension? I'm thinking oh the susuki vstrom

great information. I guess I would like to see more riding whether on or off road out of town, but your reviews and comments are very good. I was thinking about the review of the triumph tiger 800 honda cb500x and bmw 700gs. keep em coming!

Thanks for another excellent review. I am still waiting for a 450 single, road legal. Come on Honda & Yamaha, give the people what they want.

the kawasaki and bmw might be good sellers, they should have a fair amount of power and a little bit of weight might not be a bad thing in some circumstances but as long they keep low seat height it will be good, low seat sells. shame tough that bmw didn't but spoke wheels, or a nice small boxer engine.

just discovered your channel - very cool !!! I'm in Florida, USA !!!

Great preview vid of the new bikes coming out for us ADV/Dual Sport riders. My dream bike would be a serious dual sport/ADV bike from Triumph with the 675 triple! To me that would be the sweet spot between light weight & sufficient power to do some serious off road & long distance riding to get to where you are going & daily commuting. Maybe the Yamaha T7 will turn out to be that bike. I still don't understand why Yamaha hasn't made a WR450R dualsport. For the love of God Yamaha, PLEASE!!!!

Mate if you like the sound of some of these new adventure bikes you should try to get a go on a KTM 640. They are old-ish now days buy have everything your looking for, lightweight, powerful, massive fuel capacity, reliable etc...

Really enjoyed the video. Thank You!

Great vid man! I'm actually downsizing myself this coming season and getting rid of my fat 800gs to replace it with a wr250r. Having thought about I for a long time now so I'm finally gonna go for it. Been watching your wr250r vids and mods with great pleasure so as for my personal video request I would like to see more of that. Keep up your great videos! Cheers from a wintery cold Sweden!
