Alafia River State Park is a Florida State Park, located in Hillsborough County in central Florida, 10 miles southeast of Tampa. With 23 miles of the most challenging Mountain biking trails in Florida, Located on what was once a phosphate mining site, the unique topography of the reclaimed land offers some of Florida's most radical elevation changes. Alafia State Park is home to 23 miles of bike trails, ranging from beginner to advance. Is one of the most favored off-road biking choices in Florida. You can find in this trails a collection of scary drops, off-camber hillside ledges, high speed banked turns and intimidating ridge top trails. Green trails: River Loop, Rock Garden, Sand Pine. Blue Trails: Bridges, Garden Ridge, North Creek Trail, Rock Garden, Rollercoaster, Spitfire, Twisted Sister. Black Diamond: Buzzard’s Bay, Derailed, Frank’ Loop, OAF, Rabbit Ears, Razorback, Shelly’s Loop. Double Black Diamond: Gatorback, Gravitron, Moonscape. The admission fee is $4.00 per 1 person vehicle or $5.00 with 2-8 people. Camping is $22.00 per night which includes electric. The bathhouse has hot water for showers, a bike repair station (complete with tools) and two covered pavilions with grills.
