UPDATE: Seeing some of the comments on this video just comes to show how rude some bike enthusiasts really are. This was just some waste of time video I shot while picking up groceries and such at Walmart. I never intended this video to take off and become the most popular video on my channel. Otherwise I would have taken it more seriously. People seriously need to stop judging BikeGeekMTDX over one solitary video I shot in Walmart. I have been servicing bicycles (both Walmart bikes and quality bikes (such as Giant and Trek) for many many years. I am on a limited income and cannot afford the often $1000+ price tag of quality bikes from the bike shop. Otherwise, I would have them in my possession. Also, although the channel has "bikegeek" in it, this is not solely a cycling channel. "Bikegeek" was part of a longtime AOL screenname I had used for well over a decade. My first channel on YouTube was BikeGeekCCP, and contained all of my videos including PC repair videos. In December 2009, I closed BikeGeekCCP, and opened two new channels, Cube Computer Channel and this channel, BikeGeekMTDX. The goal was to separate my more popular computer tech videos from the rest of my stuff. That's why only a small portion of this channel consists of actual bicycling videos. Apparently some you don't seem to realize that I actually have much larger YouTube presence. My tech video channel Cube Computer Channel has over 10k subscribers and 6+ million views. This video was shot back when Walmart started getting into the fatbike craze. They had already been selling 27.5" variants, but when I had seen some of the other bikes, like the black 20in Mongoose, I thought it was video worthy. I don't need you to tell me that fatbikes exist. I'm well aware of what a fatbike is. It seems like Walgoose bicycles (Mongoose bikes sold at Walmart) have gotten a little obsessed with bicycle tire obesity. There are also some other bikes there nowadays with fat tires. I imagine they would give a smooth ride, ride better on sand, but I also imagine they would be heavy to pedal and wear you out quickly. When it comes to road bikes, I like my tires skinny (my Denali wears 25c tires), but on mountain bikes whatnot, I do like the tires being a little on the fat side.
