You can ride any bike anywhere! A mountain bike is exactly that! Yeah a full sus will be faster in some situations but slower in others! Aslong as you enjoy the ride.. that's what it's all about! Wooohooooo 😝 search for the cyclocross extreme haha it's crazy what skills some people have! Thanks for the videos also especially the how to! People watch this is peaty!! It's hilarious and awesome 👌🏻

Better a bit slower than landing on your knee and loosing 1 month in deep scrape recovery. In a month you loose hell of a lot of your aerobic capacity, VO2 max drops a lot. XC riders don't wear KNEE and ELBOW pads going downhill while Enduro and DH folks do wear armor protection.

There is a compromise. Enduro. Here you don't get timed on the climbs. And the rider can use a beefier rig.

This video also shows how a rider on a hardtail must learn to ride better (picking a smooth line, body position to compensate for traction etc...) and why they'd learn more skills on a hardtail that can only engance the riding when they finally go with a soft-tail.

I have been riding a Hardtail on trails for like 5 to 6 years now, I liked it a lot, but it was pretty "bumpy" on most of the trails, so now I´m buying a Tour/ Enduro fullsuspension bike, a Stevens Whaka 27.5
