you cant do biking in romania. you get eaten alive. people are such assholes not keeping their dogs in fences.

Tough but rewarding day on the bike, apart from the dogs I mean. You could do with some shoe covers like the pro's wear or at least a pair of sacrifice socks ( with holes cut out for the cleats ) to pull on over your shoes. If you get those explorer type socks they do keep your tootsies a lot warmer even though the socks get wet ; you need to avoid frost bite. ☺

How do you prepare for these vacations, I will travel to Romania this summer, but I'm having great trouble planning where to go and how to get there. Escpecially with trains etc. But nice video again :)

I'm really happy to see you discovered Romania! As a Romanian who is into bicycle touring, I've travelled around quite a bit of Europe and have been to some amazing places. Despite that I'm really fond of my native Romania actually, because as you yourself observed the views you get around every corner are just breathtaking.
It's too bad some of the locals, particularly the men, can be quite rude and hard to get along with for a stranger, but there are also plenty of lovely locals who are happy to help and get to know more about you. Don't give up, you have to kiss a few frogs before you get to the nice folks :D.

Ortlieb will repair your bag if they can. I had a squirrel chew through one of mine and they welded three patches on to make it waterproof again. I only had to pay the cost to ship it back to their local distributors. Wonderful service. Bags for life.
