I live in Branson, Mo and it's just as bad here.

If he can't clearly see the road in front of him, he shouldn't be driving.

Sounds like another job for the spray paint penis. Want it to be repainted so it's visible? Spray a giant penis over it. I guarantee the city will very quickly fix it so it looks like a shiny new handicapped spot.
A guy in I think New Hampshire did this to potholes so the city filled them in. -
250$? What a bullshit price for a ticket.
-
I don't understand why you would be lambasting the cop, considering his understanding your postion and retracting the citation. In 99% of cases, you'd still be fined, and in certain conditions you should consider yourself lucky your ass wasn't shot!

Cop did the right thing
-
Good on this guy for being calm and finding a reasonable solution!
-
glad the cop admitted the city had failed on maintaining that indicator and recognizing he wasnt from that city. i was worried at first but he did the right thing :)
-
yet after the cop left and he knew it was a handicapped parking space his car was still in the spot

That marking is equal to a fire hydrant being hidden in the bushes. BTW that title of the video is bullshit it was not a fail he was kind enough and took the ticket back are you saying he had to? thus failing in making it stick?

Cop "nobody ever parks here"
Guy. "well you live here I don't"
Cop "I don't drive through here"
Then how the hell does he know that nobody ever parks in that spot.
Stupid idiot cop thought the out of state guy would just pay the fine and not fight it.
Looked like a set up from the start with faded paint and no sign. -
I am off the opinion that Americans need to start shooting back at rogue bully cops as there are way too many of them that clearly abuse their position and want to fuck you over if you don't act scared and kiss their ass in the way they like. However, in this case the officer is one that definitely warrants a pardon, as he behaved exactly how normal reasonable members of society would and should expect. All he had to do was put his self in the drivers shoes to see that the ticket was unfair, and thankfully that is exactly what he did. I wonder what percentage of other police officers have an attitude like his?

How is he able to take it back? Was it never filled? If he's able to take it back like that, you should be able to just ignore it. There's no way they'd win in court, you can always say that there never was a ticket placed in the first place and if they try arguing that start asking for the proof. How do these tickets work if there so easy to get out of?
-
You sound like that one retarded kid from family guy. Your voice alone should get you out of the ticket better yet get you your own handicapped flagger.

The police officer was very cool, doing his job, unfortunately the handicapped emblem was terribly faded and not really easy to discern when the yellow lines marking the boundary of the space were so bright and vivid. My eyes would have been drawn to the yellow and not to a faded handicapped sign that would appear as if it's not a viable reserved space any longer. Everyone acted respectfully and that's all that really matters...

He was a cunt for even issuing the ticket. Blue EGOS Matter.
-
the officer said he knows that the sign was fades and he'd planned on taking the ticket back well here's a simpler thing to do, don't give a bogus ticket in the first place.
-
That is how the police should behave.

Wonders never cease! The cop took back the ticket. There's a police office with common sense and a guy who didn't just let it go without trying to show his side. He obviously didn't see the faded out symbol. If I had seen It I would have thought it was an old not valid handicapped spot. The town must spend it's money on other wasteful things or is just broke.
