My bike shop did just the opposite. I was like ooooh...what's this....and awwww....what's that....and dayuuuum....what are those???? And each time they were like, you're a beginner....you won't need that. Kind've a buzz kill, but saved me plenty. Plus I got f*cked up just fine with the bare minimums!!! All healed up now. Well, almost. Waiting for the dissolvable stitches to fully dissolve, and I'm back out there! Probably shoulda gone to your shop....smh

If you really like mtb then you will eventually need all that, so now you have it, cool video

bravo on your honesty, you had me cracking up because here I thought some professional was going to give tips on mountain biking for greenhorns and you are a greenhorn, and you are very honest (I bought this thingy and not sure how to use it, they recommended this and this and that) they are surly loading you down, son they saw you coming, hey here is a chump lets see how much we can squeeze out of him. I am not making fun of you to much?. the suspension is air? what about springs, that way you dont have to worry about air? Ireally hate to ask you how much your spent for that bike. did you do any research on bikes and know what your getting yourself into with this particular bike? did a trusted friend recommend this bike? i do hope you plan on taking novice trails first, that is what I am planning on doing inthe spring.

Do u know anything about mountainbiking
-
hopefully you are more knowledgeable nowadays, and well training on how to use all those tools...
-
It really sounds like the store wanted to get the hardest bike to find accessories for so that you would spend mor money getting stuff for the bike because it's a "particular bike" lol poor guy.
-
So I know this is over sa year old and its too late, but I think you got a little ripped off. As a beginner, you don't need a full suspension bike, and you shouldn't have gotten air suspension because, well that's an extra $40, and who knows what for the bike. I agree with +Sakarias Janowicz, did this stuff help, or was it all a little to much for you?
-
Holy shit! You got ripped of big time, mate! When I started mountain biking I bought a bike, a helmet and some gloves. You don't get an Enduro for your first bike. You have to start on a hardtail and work on your techniques first. This was painful to watch.

You seem like a nice guy but I think you got milked by the shop a bit most beginners would be better suited on a trail bike than a enduro bike ( both for learning and general costs) although I don't know what kind of bike you were asking for but if they knew you were a beginner I think you got milked a bit but that's ok you learn for next time and you probably won't have to upgrade soon on the positive side also you don't need two tire levers just one (I don't understand why the made you buy two) the thing you called a flappy thingy on the multitool (always a good thing to ride with a multitool) looks like a chain tool and Seth's bike hacks has some good videos on using them you won't need all that stuff on most of your rides especially at the beginning as you are new so won't be pushing the bile that hard (it's a enduro bike so it can take a lot) the people in the comments saying you don't need the suspension pump are incorrect especially when you have a higher end bike I check my sag every few weeks and it's not worth going into a bike shop to do it every time gmbn has some good videos on suspension setup if you are doing any modifications to your bike don't just use the multitool if you are doing them yourself make sure you use a torque wrench to set proper torque but ya otherwise have fun and welcome to the sport :)

Since this video is more than a year old I wonder how far you have gotten since then? Did any of your gear end up just laying around or was it all useful to you? Anyways, I whish you the very best in your continued biking! It's really a great way to enjoy the nature and at the same time getting a really tough workout =)!

anyone else here not where a helmet
-
Wanna buy my 6 month old hard tail for $3000? Lol
-
and you bought an Enduro for your first bike. should have bought a hardtail you would have spent way less money and it would have made you a better rider in the long run hard tails force you to pick a good line.
-
you got hosed
-
yeah..i feel sorry for you a little bit because even though you really need some of those stuff..what you have right now are for pro's.. not for beginners...and why did they let you buy the saddle bag since you have no problem using backpack?
-
You don't need elbow pads, knee pads at most. The shock pump is not necessary just ask the store you buy from to set up the suspension for you. Instead of a pump, CO2 cartridges are smaller and lighter and pretty cheap. Those knee pads are way overkill.
-
when i started...i bought a bike..that's it...haha
-
They scammed you hard, you don't need any of that stuff lol.
-
You have more gear than me and I've been mtb for a year or so
-
U are a begginer and they fooled you into buying all of that gear
