Beijing Cycling Stories - Titanium Factory
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
When most people think of Chinese bike manufacturing they think of mass production. China is also home to small scale factories that take pride in the craft of making frames. Today we take you for a sneak peak inside a Titanium Bike Factory in Beijing that has been hand making frames for 20 years.

I am sure that the Chinese frames are very good... but I prefer to keep my money in the USA. I don't earn my living from Chinese clients. US made Ti frames are the best in the world.

habanero? which companies?

In the 4.20 shot you see on the locker in the rear a Van Nicholas sticker. Now this is a high end brand (atleast here in Europe). So if they make Ti frames for them than it is worth checking out Ti frames om Alienexpress as well.

why wouldnt you give a little plug for the company.. dont even mention the bike company name

I always hear this same kind of bias when comparing American to Chinese made turbochargers. But you can buy a Chinese made turbo for around $200 compared to the same American made one for around $1000. I wonder how much truth there is to the bias.

How can we order a bike frame from this shop?

the comments here are so dumb...

Machinery used is quite bit older than that used in the Italian Nevi factory. The biggest difference would be the tolerances, and hence, the quality of the final product. But you'll pay tons more for the Italian frame.

Old factory with basic machinery and ex government partner making now bicycles, this sounds reasonable. This happening world wide.

Karate kid was just a typical american college geek up for the show off trophy.. Mr Miyagi had so much more real passion, and he was actually very tech and advanced himself so I think he could of won the trophy really?
