The r3 has so much lag tho, the ninjas top speed is 191 km

Everyone I hear have great things to say about Honda's reliability and lower cost maintenance compared to other bikes. My question is, what about Yamaha's compared to Honda?
-
I as a joke asked one of my friends who rides if he would recommend a 1000cc to a person with no experience. I was expecting a laugh and a "hell no" but he said yes lmao

in europe here you have to start out with a 125 ccm

I went to go test ride the r3 and ninja 300 and the only one I could really test ride was the ninja. . . I'm not short but (5'5). . . I about dropped the r3 a few times even though it felt lighter. My pride took a hit 'cause my bro was laughing the hole time. (/ 'o co)\

Hi. Which one, between Ninja 300 and Yamaha R3, do you recommend for a beginner?I never ride a motorcycle, neither a 50cc one. I really like both, maybe plus the Ninja. Thanks a lot mate.

this may or may not help anyone here, but let me tell you a story...
about 6 months ago, i walked into my local bike shop and said I WANT THAT KTM DUKE 390. LETS DO DIS.
after a few hours, i was riding out on my brand new shiny duke. i loved it. it felt pretty powerful for what it was. fast forward 4 months, and 8000 miles later, and the head gasket is blown. i seem to be kind of lucky in this area. many other ktm 390 owners have had fan/overheating problems way before this point. i did all my maintenance within 100 miles of the due mileage. i felt like i sort of babied it, even though it was always dirty. after a long trip to the texas hill country, i needed another service done. it was time for the 2nd big maintenance, and i needed a rear tire. i took the bike to the same shop i bought it at, told them that it had very recently started running much hotter than normal, and that it was running sluggish- i could barely pass 85mph. before, you could pass 100 without much effort. the shop did the maintenance and rear tire, charged me $400, and sent me out after waiting like 2 weeks to get the bike back. they didnt do anything about the head gasket.
i went online to find answers to my problem. i wasnt real sure what it was at this point- i just knew the bike was running like crap. a guy offered to trade his 07 hd street bob. without even thinking about it i said we should meet up. i did wind up getting the hd, and i hate it. it's fast as balls, but it's a dang harley, and it cant turn. sheesh.
i have sunk about another $400 on making this harley a little more barable for me, as well as some maintenance, and i'm desperately looking for another bike. i'm considering an r3/ninja 300, but trying hard to get a older vfr800. it's a big mess, this harley. nothing wrong with it, but there's just like no interest from any buyers. i'm about to try a few bike shops in my area, to see if i can straight trade for something a little more fun for me. this hd is bike number 11 for me. i really dont want to get another beginner bike, but money doesnt grow on trees.
TL:DR, DONT BUY A KTM 390. THEY ARE POOP. -
Istead of buying a brand new 300 for 5k and end up loosing 2k on it when you grow out of it in a month and upgrade to a 600 you might as well just buy a 600. As long as you're a responsible person you will be fine on a 600 or even a 1000cc. I'm 5,3 and i had a 250 for 3 years then sold it and then upgraded to a zx6r and it was like learning how to ride all over again. Bc the bike is alot higher and faster and heavier. And plus take your MSF cource where they teach you on 250s so youll grow old from 250s in those two days .

Well if you're learning how to ride you dont have to and dont want to keep up with 600/1L motorcycles, and if your friends push you to keep up with them they are assholes.
Riding on the limit of your riding skills or above it to keep up with someone will only get you in trouble.
Ride at your own pace, up until where you are comfortable. -
was the ktm rc 390 not launched anywhere but in my country ???
