To me this seems essentially the same as a Cambiogear, or Firstbrook, or VECTr, or any of the other variable diameter sprocket transmissions, only electronically actuated.

That is a really clever invention. I think it fills the gap between heavy intenal hubs than are good for commuting and lighter derailleurs that are more sensitive. Very impressive, you should be congratulated.

This pretty interesting that I found this video. I was watching informative videos about CVT transmissions and figured, "Perhaps this could be a great application for a bike!" I love your video and invention. Have you gotten this prototype patented?

It can't be CVT (Continuously Variable) as there is an integral number of holes in the chain into which sprocket teeth can fit. If you have 20 teeth engaging around the front of the front sprocket and you want to reduce the effective diameter so that only 19 teeth will be engaged, your front sprocket has to reduce its diameter by a fixed amount. How do you arrange that?
