12-7-14. I took old tube, split it and placed it between tube and tire (screw heads), That has worked over 8 hours with not wear. 3-1-14 After 30 miles on these tires, screw head wore a hole through duct tape. I put a dab of Hot Melt Glue on each head and covered with Gator Tape, much heavier than duct tape. The hot melt glue takes the edges off, reducing the chaffing. Fat Tire Salsa Beargrease. Big Fat Larry Tires. 4.7 inches. 10 psi. Front tire used #8 Tec Lathe x1/2 screws. That works well if you don't turn sharp. Would recommend 100 per tire. On back tire used 50 #8 Tec Lathe screws alternated with 50 self taping sheet metal screws. We will see which stands up the best. I rode 5 miles so far on the ice and snow and they worked great and showed no wear. We will see how they hold up on a trail and concrete.
