Bicycle Touring Europe - Dresden to Rome

Hi everyone. My name is Ralf and I am addicted to bicycle touring :) On my fully loaded touring bicycle I travelled from Dresden (Germany) to Rome (Italy). It took me 21 days (17 days of cycling) to cover 1802km. Highlights were crossing the Alps and and the beautiful Toscana region in Italy. Please enjoy. GoPro HERO 3+ Silver

Why in such a short time? Takes the fun out of it. It also is huge punishment.

Great videos and editing. What is your budget for these trips for food etc?

Hi Ralf! Nice video, man! Tomorrow I am going on a bicycletour myself. From Rotterdam, through Germany, to Itter in Austria in 8 days. By the way, are you riding a Koga Randonneur in this vid? I can't tell exactly. If you are, we are riding the same bike.

I hate this guy. He will have stories to tell to his grandchildren. Now I want to cycle through Europe, if I break a leg I know who to blame. Keep the good work.

Hello Ralf ! Another wonderful trip of yours, congratulations ! Two questions: 1) I noticed you dont wear a helmet, any specific reason ? 2) How do you make those video takes where you're filmed from far away ? Is there anybody with you to do that or what ? Cheers from a Brazilian biker !

I really love this channel. Its sooo good and really inspiring. I have just bought my first touring bike, a ridgeback and I am really catching the cycling bug and plan to do cycle touring in the future. I cant believe the comfort of a good touring bike and how much difference that can make to the cycling experience! I love the quality of your videos. Can I ask what you film with? Thanks.

hey! nice vid. I'm really inspired by it and would like to know about the road. are they marked as biking roads? or just you take random roads? I assume there are regulations for biking on the main roads and so on..?

Great video record of the trip, thanks. Have often thought of doing a trip through a European mountain range, I just need to get a lower geared bike to attempt that other than my 11 speed Alfine.

This is brilliant! I haven't biked in years but this video really makes me want to go out and cycle through all of Europe ;)
