I took a walk into Groningen to get dinner and was amazed with the abundance of bicycles, bike paths and fit looking Hollanders.

@TheAppleInvestor :o ....you must be looking at the wrong bikes! There is a certain price class you have to consider. I bought myself a second hand bike for 200 euro's which was still one of the late generation bycicles...and in excellent condition.

@kardentyrell They look third, fourth and fifth hand ;) Some of them made very strange sounds, but people still tooled around in them.

@kardentyrell There are hardly any good bikes, that's probably why no one uses a lock and chain.

@AUX999 Yeah, it's very rare to see a nice bike with a multi-speed de-railer, most are clunky ancient 3 speeds. The bikers pay no attention to cars either and no one is wearing a helmut!
