I drive with nice crome steel wheels and I love to polish them 2-3 times a year. I use "Elsterglanz" it has a consistency like toothpaste and it works wonders. No better feeling in the world than driving with a well maintained bike.

Hey BikeguyforU I have a better chrome clearer for you. Everyday aluminum foil will amaze you on how well it takes of rust without scratching the chrome. I had learned this gem of a secret from a elderly gentleman while volunteering at a Non-profit organization that helps train people to repair their own bikes. My uncle even used the trick to take the rust off his 74 Charger's bumpers to the point they now look like new.

Wire brush will scratch chrome. DONT USE A WIRE BRUSH.

how much do you think it would cost to restore an old continental 2? i don't think i would do a good job, so i wanna take it to someone. It's in good shape mostly other than a little rust on the frame by the back wheel. it's all original other than the tires, was my dad's and he never rode it, it just hung in the garage for 30 yrs or so. Probably only has 25 miles on it or less, could be as low and 10 miles.

I have a old Motobecane Bike that has Sprintour written on the top horizontal bar, from seat to handle bars. It's bronze/Gold with the shifters below the horizontal bar. I cannot find anything about this type of Motobecane. Do you have any clues that may help me identify this bike further? Mid 80's I believe with chrome tips on forks.
