BIKE RIDE 1
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Part one of BIKE RIDE. Mens sana in corpore sano. "Interesting" facts about this video: I cycled 350+ miles to make it. I only dropped the cameras twice. Top speed in this video is 45mph (well part 2). (My personal best is 48.2mph). I had 7 near fatal accidents whilst making this, which is 6 more times than my other video "144 Facts About God", in which I made myself laugh and nearly choked on a biscuit. I've discovered that strapping cameras to your bike makes a dangerous activity significantly more dangerous. Editing down 70+ hours of mind-numbingly tedious footage to make this video was difficult. Bike used was a Specialized Allez. There are nine million bicycles in Beijing. Making a video that depends on uniformly sunny weather over an extended period of time in England is a thankless task (impossible). This video is vastly more interesting if you've actually been to the places I'm riding around...or if you're me. You've got yourselves to blame :D Camera used: D005 Mini DV Spy Camera just £11 brand new from ebay (X2). Using 8gb Class 6 Micro SD cards. They're surprisingly good for £11, but very, very, very limited. Note: For those interested, the time/date stamp was removed by cropping the image into widescreen. And the cameras were attached to the bike (or me), via the professional materials of velcro and celotape. If anybody would like to donate a proper GoPro HD action cam to me, I'll gratefully accept it :D Thank you Music: wu-tang clan - deep space (feat.lord jamar and rza)(jay da flex and yoof remix) whoa Camera Mount Positions: Rear quick release pointing backwards, forwards and upwards. Fantastic quality! Sorry mate I know it is a lot of work, but too many cuts for me, it looks like a very long professional advertising. Cheers from germany OY.

Are you from Derby
-
@LogicalThinker667 :D
-
@OgreVI Ha ha ha :D The quicker you ride, the quicker you get through it. Well that was the plan.
-
Wow, fearless! I'd have been totally freaked out in all that traffic.
-
You're riding on the wrong side of thr road. Don't you know that's dangerous?
-
@dsdougharty Thank you!! Its a close run thing, it was definitely more difficult/frustrating than I ever thought it was going to be.
-
@calmreason :D I thought about that as well. If ever it goes on eBay, the ad will definitely have a link to this page.....should get me an extra £10.
-
I found that entrancing good job. I hope the final product was worth the effort to you.
-
wow you make everything seem epic
-
God vid. I was tired watching it though, cos i'm one lazy bastard.

Good efforts Dom.. nice to see another youtube action video featuring Derby (as well as the Damian Walters stuff). That was a real labour of love. Thankfully my cycle routes around Ashbourne are a bit less scary.
-
hmm so that is what it looks like from the bike, it looks nothing that exciting from the vehicle side, I hate to be one of those guys, but its more like; common get out of the way I am trying to make it 7 seconds faster to walmart lol
-
Glad you're still making videos! Loved the Dubstep!
-
When did you film this, I might have seen you about
-
This bike ride just disproved the EXISTENCE on GOD! :D
-
Really well filmed and put together!

@isaachaze1 Cheers!! I absolutely agree with you about riding through busy traffic etc, I'm definitely not a fan. In the beginning I took loads of footage of my regular routes through quiet country lanes etc but found that the footage was exceptionally boring (not much really happens), even though they're really enjoyable to ride. So in the attempt to make an interesting video, I had to risk life and limb. Its fair to say though, you don't get too many rattlesnakes round here :D
