What started in Lake Make Merritt soon made its way to West Oakland in Bikes 4 Life 5th Annual Peace Ride. Biking through the streets of Oakland, California, people chanted to end violence in this urbanized city. Oakland is very well known for its dangerous streets and vicious police department, which began this annual peace ride. As people rode to take back their streets on lookers honked and cheered them on.
