Bikes Direct Liberty Gravity CXD Cyclocross Road Bike Quick Review
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Liberty Gravity CXD purchased from bikesdirect.com. I purchased this bike last year for $499.95 free shipping. I road around 500 miles on this bike and it road pretty good for the money. Why spend thousands when you can get a quality bike for cheap. I made a few mods to the bike. I removed the drop downs and went to a straight bar. I also did not like the disc brakes that came with the bike(tektro lyra). So I upgrade them to the Avid BB7's and I also replaced the rotors as well to the Avid G3's. from the reviews the BB7's are one of the best cable disc brakes you can buy before going to hydraulic disc brakes. I also purchased spare rims for this bike and my sons Gravity Avenue A road bike from bikeisland.com. They sell discounted bikes, damaged bikes and parts associated with bikesdirect.com. The bikes that are damaged are usually cosmetic but Bikes Direct can not sell them new. Aluminum frame, carbon fork 24 speed, disc brakes. Don't mind the poor quality of the video my first one. Check out Bikes Direct and/or Bike Island if you would like to know more. Thank you for watching.

It's not much of a review of the bike, but the video is just talking about what you've upgraded and what feels comfortable for you. Tell us more about the bike. Did you feel it was worth the price? Is it better to get it at the bike shop? Is the fit accurate? Are the materials good? Does it perform well on different types of pavement? etc

Thanks for the video i'm thinking about this bike also for cyclo cross racing. Not planning on winning just doing it to stay in shape.

Thanks for the video. I'm considering getting a gravity liberty cxd (or alternatively the motobecane fantom cx) and was wondering about the different sizes.
Are you guys happy with the size you ordered, and did you pick the size based on bikesdirect's suggested sizing chart?
At 5'8", I'd get the 50 cm based on the sizing chart. But my road bike (specialized) is like 55 and the motobecane chart would put me with a 54 on the motobecane. So just wondering how accurate the gravity liberty cxd sizing chart is. -
I do love this bike and it rides real well. My only problem was the brakes so went with the Avid BB7's. The original shifters worked well and the drops were nice. Had to go to a straight bar due to my back. Let me know how you like it when it comes in.

Thanks for the quick review. Ordered a Liberty CDX 50cm a few days ago, so I'm just trying to get all the tips I can from people who've experienced them. Cheers!
