all these bikes are way overpriced save for hybrid car

More importantly how do you override the speed limiter to get assist upto 30mph?

The Bosch e-bike system is without no dubt a very good system. There are many videos on youtube, comparing the mid drive/pedelec motors to the hub motors, and most of the times we can see that the mid drive motors are better for uphills. I know that these bikes have no any throttle on the handlebar, so the only power they produce is when we pedaling. I'm just thinking about one thing. If we are in a very hard and steep terrain and we need to push our bike to climb to a hill or a big rock, is there any help from these bikes (with bosch or yamaha systems), or the only thing we have to do, is to try pushing the heavy (heavier than a normal mtb) bike to the top, just using our hand's and leg's power? Because i know that the hub motors with the same power of course they can't push you so well to the top of a hill, but i'm pretty sure that they are more usefull when the terrain is really steep, so you need to take your bike to your hands and to push it to the top of the hill. The only thing you have to do is to use the throttle, and the bike can goes everywhere, even in places where no any enduro can goes, because you can take your bike and using the throttle you can climb everything (especially if the power is less than 500w, that means less spin). No any enduro or mid drive/pedelec e-bike can do this. Is that right or not?

I've a UK (EU) legal eBike but with a Shimano Alfine hub gears rather than derailleurs. It is astonishing and for me (now over 70 years) it really brings the fun back into cycling. It is frustrating that the EU rules mean that pedal assistance stops abruptly at 25 kph (15.5 mph), but it doesn't stop you from using just your pedal power to cycle as fast as you want. You can get 'fixes' that removes the enforced 15.5 mph assistance, but that makes the bike illegal to use on the public roads. The range from the 400Wh battery is excellent: in Tour mode, 40-60 miles is easily achievable, but the range really is dependant on the terrain. Cycling at speeds over 16 mph on flat terrain means that you are not using any power assist, so theoretically the battery would last hundreds of miles. OTOH, riding in a very hilly terrain could drop the range to 25 miles.
I foresee a good future for pedal assist eBikes. -
Hi, do you also do reviews on Velomobiles? Please check out the company Räderwerke from Hannover Germany, the are planing to build a two seater hybrid Velomobile (electric and human powered) http://velomobil.eu/milan-1. The Velomobile will, according to Räderwerke, need for 10 000km the equal amount of energy as 5-10L Diesel. Like your videos! Grüße

Somewhat ironic, the advert before the video was for a Mazda Pickup truck. You can go into Adsense and de-select the ads that aren't to your taste.

I bought a Trek e-mountainbike with the Bosh electric assistance system and it works great. I can modulate the electric assistance which keeps my efforts in the aerobics zone even when I go steeply uphill thus preventing lactic acid build up in my muscles. I recover faster and ride more frequently. It's a truly amazing system. I also tested a Ghost e-mountainbike which worked very well. My friends own a Focus e-bike which also works great.

e-bikes are the SUVs of bicycle world.

Where was this technology when Lance Armstrong was racing?

At a guess, I would suppose that the fullychargedshow would be Publicly Willing to "back" efforts here in the US of "Hey!" to bureaucraticly Encourage VW to shift some of their EV expertise over to where the Stars and Bars used to wave. (Well, the Confederacy did not prevail against those in the North; so that is where cheaper labor costs "run rampant.")

Don't quite know how "Greenish" you might be at there at fullycharged(show), but you were very, Very upset about VW "reverse-engineering" their products to scam owners (AND bureaucrats as well!) about what was coming out of the tailpipes of the vehicles
that they produce in Wolfsburg. (If not Greenish; perhaps a little "down" on A. Hitler?
{Or just a person in favor of liars getting their "Just Desserts."}) -
So you left verrrrry long and huge carbon trace just to ride bicycle on a parking lot at Las Vegas?!?!? Not very green move from Bosh. Jeebus.

Ebikes are fanstatic fun. I have one with a throttle which from what I read on the way out with ebike makers. Its seems pedal assist is the future and throttle is going away. But for me throttle is more fun by a long shot, feels like a toy. I have a 2015 Izip E dash 3.

this kind of thing is in Japan for a couple of decade now
