Calibre Dune FAT bike review. Why buy a fat bike? Best cheap fat bike?
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Best cheap fat bike for 2016? Maybe... It certainly is a lot of fun for under £600 The Calibre Dune fat bike from 'Go Outdoors' is no frills, but solid and actually fairly light considering. Here is my review after playing with it for a few days this week.

I have those same tires set up Tubeless on my Fat Bike. Very good review I subscribed to your Channel. I did a recent video on riding a fat bike on ice it's under my own name.

I never see any of these on the bike trails until it starts snowing, I guess they are better on the ice and snow

nice review but I'm wondering about tyres size so
how big this tyres are -
I work at Go Outdoors and have had my eye on one for the last year.....nice to read a proper review and an honest one at that. I would definitely swap the brakes out and maybe a 10 speed cassette and SLX shifters but as you say a solid frame base to work with. I'm 5'10" and have ridden one around the store and it seems comfy enough for my height.

are throns a serious problem there? I want one of these some day but I dont do the downhill fast tracky stuff where you do jumps and wheelies (tho I wouldnt mind learning how to on flat ground just so see what it is like) I dont have a beach so something like this would be fine I am not a bmx thrills and spills rider by anymeans but do love to hit the trails at modest to low speed not to steep trails. so I figure these bikes would be fine, I have seen them with pedal assist motor and I have been considering this, some day when I can afford it or find a good used one. pretty nice to read reviews from experienced riders to help us novices and bikers decide on the bike that is just right for them. thank you.

Hi there, I liked your video and noticed the frame size doesn't seem to be a problem for you, Im going to buy this bike in the next week and thought id be better going for a large frame as I'm 5'11 in height although im not sure... I also bought one of these for taking my boards down to the beach (I also kitesurf) http://lumberjac.com/2013/06/csr-small-block-surfboard-bike-rack/ would it be better for going the large size in your option? Cheers

I have the same tires. Just put 4oz of Stan's sealant in the tubes, no more thorn punctures

Hey Biscuit,
An honest, straight forward review of the Dune. I avidly researched budget FATs before buying my Dune in March and found the following thread really helpful, perhaps some Tubers may find the same. Also mate, you may be interested in the Fat Bike Cornwall page on FB.

Good review, it looks much better than my budget fat bike which is steel and a single speed, I wish I'd of known of these before I got mine.. I think tubeless is the way to go with fat bikes, the wheels seem to spin up with a bit less effort.

hi fella. just seen this bike in the shop. coming from a full sus lapierre spicy. Is this bike worth its price tag in long run? i live in sunny wales and wanted a rigid fatbike to shres around afan trails. is it suitable for this? also how tall are you? i hear the frame size limits the rider comfort alot. cheers.
