Car Versus Bicycle Crash - Accident Caught On Dashcam - Extended Edit
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
READ FOR INFO: Driver of the Saturn hit a bicyclist crossing the road in the crosswalk with an ENDING walk signal (red hand was flashing with a countdown timer) while making a right turn. Driver of the Saturn then fled the scene. I called 911 after asking that the cyclist was okay and since I wasn't sure if I had gotten the license plate number on camera I followed the Saturn until I lost sight. Not only did I capture the crash, but so did the cameras at the corner gas station where this occurred. I returned to the scene and made sure the cyclist was still okay and waited for officers to arrive and gave a witness statement and the short version of this video. Stupid the driver left the scene, now they'll be charged, the cyclist was at fault
-
wow, I wouldn't never call 911, are you kidding?

If cyclists want the same rights as cars then their should have the same rules. They should be required to have number plates so they can be turned in if they break the law, also they should have to have their bicycles inspected pay registration fee. Also they should have headlight taillight and brake light, rear view mirrors and should be required to have insurance for themselves so I don't have to pay for it if they fuck up and get hit. The inspection fees and registration fees can go to putting bike lanes in but not till they build up a surplus of money for it. I've got no issues with cyclists if they follow the rules of the road ( like stopping at stop signs and not riding right through) I feel if they want the same rights as cars they should have to be held to the same standards this way they contribute to rise upkeep and provide their own funding for bike lanes

100% the cyclists fault.
It's as much his fault as a wrong way driver driving a car. I hope the asshole cyclist had to pay for damages to the car. -
Driver should've looked but cyclist was at fault, he was going the wrong way
-
That 911 call was worse than calling Dell tech support
-
The bicyclist was the one who broke the law by riding on the sidewalk in the wrong direction of traffic. If the car had just stopped he would have been fine.
-
Note to bicycle riders...there are rules of the road when operating a bicycle on public streets. LEARN THEM before taking to the streets.
And of course there is no excuse for hit and run when operating a motor vehicle. -
Why would you leave the seen after plowing a cyclist, thats like 100 points. You cant get your points if you leave the seen.
-
good work
-
"Don't let him out! go"...Then tried to edit your jaywalking motherfucker comment...then endangered lives by speeding through residential streets...you sir. are a dick driver as well as a lawbreaker....not to mention you didn't catch the guy or get a plate number.....get a grip.

How is this the cyclist fault? Cars are ALWAYS supposed to yield to pedestrians regardless of the situation ! and in many counties you are allowed to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk in residential areas. The crosswalk even gave him the right of way you can see it counting down. The car is at total fault and fled the scene a felony now ! Hope he gets caught and thrown in jail. There is no reason to hate people that ride bicycles? Thats just ludicrous!

Driver recorded video Respect!!!
-
You suck ass at chasing someone.
-
What car are you driving?
-
the thing is... I never head of a driver calling police or anything to help a cyclist and btw the cyclist was in the wrong but running from the accident scene is retarded.. you hit someone you stop and see if they are ok.
-
Your dashcam records high qhality video but the license plate was just too small.
It'd be nice to have a zoom button on the steering wheel :D -
Great video. I a watching bike accident videos as I recover from a broken arm sustained in a bike vs. car accident. Wish I had a camera rolling! In this video, the cyclist looked to be at fault. Driver should not have run. Maybe he/she had an outstanding warrant or something.
