Wish I would have watched this before I just bought a carbon frame.

I have a 1992 Giant Cadex CFM1 with original XTR parts and a carbon fiber frame I own for 25 years. It has taken lots of pounding over the years. Even hit by a car from behind. The frame is still going strong. All materials will eventually suffer from "fatigue" and can fail. How do I know when the frame is not safe anymore? There is no visible cracks, but maybe there could be internal cracks, and I don't want it to snap and, I get hurt as a result. I wish I could get it x rayed or something.

What do you guys think about cervelo bike i have p2 and p3 has anyone had any problem/problems

Black wheel fail more often because black wheels are faster than beige wheels.
JUST KIDDING....
Thanks for posting this. -

This compilation shows three different failure scenarios without distinguishing them: there are failures which occurred without causing a crash, failures which caused a crash, and crashes which caused a failure.

B-but muh carbon! Muh carbon! Fuck you Dureenriding, my $10k ego purchase wasn't retarded
-
AEROSPOKES AREN'T EVEN CARBON
-
Do you sell aluminum frames? Make them perhaps? Your biased hatred of carbon is irrational.
-
Fuck, I've just brought a Trek Emonda after a 20 year road bike hiatus.
-
If you're not making your living from riding a bike why would you buy carbon. I've had one of my bikes almost 15 years and is still go to go after 10's if not 100's of thousands of miles. Don't waste your money people...
-
As many opinions out there as there are bike crashes. I've seen frame cracks in all materials, including "indestructible" ti.
-
Carbon does not stand out as a good material for structural strength, aluminum is better, but you can not beat steel for durability.
-
Carbon is crap on bikes. Steel is the best. Most guys say, "Ah but steel is heavier" but these guys are middle aged men and not professional cyclists. People buy into the Hi-Tech myth. I go on cycle runs and even on my Raleigh 501 kitted with Shimano 105 and Mavic wheels I can still out run guys on Carbon machines worth 1000s. Oh and my Shimano rear cassette is 12 - 21 so I'm passing guys on hills that are using ultra light bikes with 12 - 28 etc! Go figure!
-
aluminium is way better and way cheaper , so carbon is pointeless material. it is only strong if want stretch it but it break easyli.
-
Wow.
-
Wow. Graphic. Thanks for the advice.
-
so shoul i buy aluminium bike as my firts road bike?

what is the purpose of your video!! What would you have said to Albert Einstein when he was trying to invent the Light bulb,,
Is it not just common sense that weight is an issue with every sporting activity and that every manufacture is pushing the limits...
You are marketing an ebook on Positive mindset.... ?? -
carbon brake on road bikes in this video. On mtb with good carbon frame ~1300-1500g carbon is 2x better than alu
