Chinese ATV bike carb clean and deregulation of "sealed" carb .3gp
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This is how you deresrict these new "sealed, non-adjustable" ATV carbs that the EPA is forcing on Chinese carburetors on 110 ATVs and 70/125cc pit bikes. this is for the 4 stroke Japanese copy carbs. all you need is a screw extractor set and a drill. i paid $10 for the extractor set from harbor freight tools. its better than paying for a new carb

How did you get the throttle cable out? I tried unscrewing mine and it wouldn't come loose. I tried a paper towel and vice grips, still didn't work. Is the throttle area with the c clip and jet needle sealed?

whats the part number on the extractor set

My son's 70cc metal motorsport chines bike had fuel pouring out of carb overflow line. Did exactly what you said and it worked perfectly! thanks for the video. got 2 new screws at Ace Hardware for 28 cents each. Running great again. Only difference is now Harbor Freight sells the driver kit with bits that you drill and remove screw with same bit, by reversing drill.

I'd appreciate some help please I'm losing my mind!!! I have a 110 4 stroke quad bike which only starts up when my choke is open and runs perfect but it's not very fast anyway and it dies as soon as I turn the choke off so it's completely shut....I ordered a brand new carb and it arrived today I stuck it on and it still only starts up if my choke is open when I turn the choke off it idles now but soon as I given it revs it bogs down an then dies and won't start back up unless the choke is reopened then I turn the choke back off and it will idle but I then rev it again and it dies I'm losing the will to live with it please any help will be appreciated and just to clear things up the carb isn't blocked the fuel lines are all clean the air filter is clean aswell .....the carb is the exact same as the one in your video a pz19 thank you

Hey, I have a quad and the carb won't drain, I've cleaned it twice but I'm not sure if there is a good air mixture. It doesn't start and i'm guessing the engine isn't getting gas. Any ideas? Thanks.

I really enjoy your posts, after watching them for quite a while now I need help.
I bought my boy the 50cc atv the green one. The exact model you made the one video of. It starts, and idols fine but when he rides it the dang thing sputters. I've tried cleaning the carb, replaced the plug and attempted to adjust the fuel air mixure(no noticeable change) I know your busy but I hope you could point me in the right direction. I could or would make an audio clip if that would help?
Thank either way, I'll keep watching! -
i have a 125cc coolster. when we hit the thumb throttle hard while in neutral it almost chokes, then if your riding it, it chokes too. if you slowly rev it; it runs strong, its actually really fast with my 6'8" 240lbs on it, not to mention my 5'6" wife. do you think drilling out and loosening the air screw will help?

Man I took mine apart twice.1st time to clean the jets 2nd time top to bottom cleaning.she still wont run at all unless I put starting fluid or gass in the mouth of the carb.she runs for like 5 seconds and shuts off.mines a 90cc atv.dont know whats wrong with this thing.carb looked really good to.clean and all clear.

where did you get the box of screws from?
-
Michael Beaudry, don't waste your time trying to do this repair - I tried and could NOT get the Japanese headless screws out (actually BROKE the eay-out bits trying). Just buy a new carb for $20.
-
Btw, in case I cannot get it to stop leaking, is that PZ19 replacement carb a 22mm? (Amazon has them for $15 and FREE shipping!)

OK, I have a 125cc chinese atv that's pouring gas from the overflow tube (will empty the tank - most likely a stuck float? (It has less than 10 hours, so cannot be dirty?) I will use your tip to remove the float bowl, and see what happens? Thanks!

i had the same issue. there are two different screws. The one you are talking about is the idle mixture screw. Mine was idling like crazy too and i could not figure it out....turns out there is another screw that is difficult to reach called the pilot jet. Not sure what type of atv you have but just do a google search on what the pilot jet looks like. The trick is to screw it in all the way and back out 2 1/2 turns, then adjust your idle mixture. If that does not work take it to a mechanic.

yes you should clean the carb and replace the batteryand spark plug
