@clark2002jc you are so stupid. did you not see the quotations? what i said was a quote. from the internet. proving me right. "With rare exceptions, 4-stroke engines run at substantially slower rpms than a comparable 2-stroke engine...most in the under-10,000 rpm range vs. 12,000, 13,000 or more for a typical 2-stroke of the same size"
-
@Kawasakiforlife7 you have that backwards. a yz250f rev limits at 13,500 rpm a yz125 might hit 10k stock and wont rev limit unless modded. I'm done arguing tho.. you have no idea what you are saying. read up, do some research.. I have been riding long before 4 strokes even came into the picture. I know the bikes inside and out.
-
@clark2002jc by the way, i was right, you have no idea what you're talking about. not only do i race them, but i work on them. read this "With rare exceptions, 4-stroke engines run at substantially slower rpms than a comparable 2-stroke engine…most in the under-10,000 rpm range vs. 12,000, 13,000 or more for a typical 2-stroke of the same size"
-
@clark2002jc you're last part is entirely wrong. they arent raced for 2 reasons, and its NOT that they cant compete at all. its that when you mod the fuck out of a bike they cant compete. four strokes have so much more you can do to them, of course it will cost you 20 grand to do.. but stock to stock 2 strokes are better. and the other reason is tree huggers
-
@Kawasakiforlife7 Google it if you dont believe me. I race motocross and have both 2 and 4 strokes in my garage. I'm partial to 2 stroke, but they will never out rev the new 4 stroke bikes.... ever. And that's why they aren't raced anymore, they cant compete.
-
@clark2002jc you have no idea what you're talking about
-
@Kawasakiforlife7 4 stroke will out rev a 2 stroke any day of the week. they have more power everywhere. a 250f will rev to 13-14k rpms bone stock. a highly modded 125 wont even rev that far and if it did somehow manage to, it would be well beyond its hp peak and pointless.
-
@ThatNewStreetballer you sir, are wrong.
-
@777godisawsome If you want a bike then dont buy one that is cheap , cheap bikes break and then your money is wasted .. go for a honda , yamaha , kawasaki , suzuki , ktm ... you will able to find an old bike pretty cheap just make sure it runs correctly ...
-
@ohcanadaman1 yes, but they do lose power. you cant deny they lose power after low to mid range. and if you think thats good power, ride a two stroke in the top end. power band will show you what real power is. four stroke power band is between low to mid, two stroke power band is top
-
@ohcanadaman1 no, a four stroke loses power in the top end. its power band is between bottom and mid range
-
@ohcanadaman1 dont run it without the baffle, bad for the motor and you lose all your low end, which is all a 4 stroke it good for
-
is it me or does he twist the trottle the oppisite direction to rev up
