800+ miles cycling around South Island New Zealand We bagan and ended in Christchurch. The loop involved going as far south as Wanaka while trying to avoid as many of the shoobies (tourists) as possible. Then through Haast, up the west coast to Greymouth, and back to Christchurch via Arthur's Pass. This was a lot of work considering a loadout of excess weight taking its toll on my knee, but safety gear yields a "better safe than sorry" place in my book, and provided good insurance should've things gone bad.
