Cyclist runs red, gets pulled over by cops

Dude was huffin' trying to race me the entire way. Notice the police car in front as I pull up to the intersection, he didn't. It's a $150 ticket, I believe. Caught this on my RD32 II dash/sport cam I had strapped to my forks.

yeah, the worst part was he almost got hit by a car and didn't slow down. makes the rest of us look pretty bad doesn't it.

I hope it happens more often. I'm a cyclist and I'm tired of seeing them run red lights, many times barely getting hit by cars or causing drivers to think twice even when they have a green. I'm okay with them not coming to a complete stop at stop signs when there's no cars. Just slow down a bit there.

Watching s/he get owned was good, but knowing s/he got owned while being filmed is even better, and being on the internet being owned is the best.

He did run a red light. He was in the middle of the intersection when the light turned green. Did you see any cars starting to go through the light? Cyclists have to obey traffic signal laws just as cars do. I didn't see any cars starting to go through the light and cars can gain more speed then the cyclists. So cars should be able to do the same thing as the cyclists does.

then you can say that guy knew the light was going to turn green. he just rolled earlier. they should've both got a ticket! it's stupid what if a car speeds up to catch a yellow while someone is cycling across the intersection while it's RED? can't blame the driver there. honestly, cyclists are a road hazard.

Just because someone is riding a bicycle on the road does not relieve them from following the traffic laws.

Bikes have to follow the same rules as motor vehicles on the road. Both bikers broke the law.
