Dahon Mu UNO, single speed folding bike
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
http://www.nycewheels.com/dahon-folding-bike-mu-uno.html The Dahon UNO is your bike if you like simplicity. Just one gear and back-pedal brake make this bike as easy and fun to use as those 1950 Schwinn cruisers. Only 22lbs. Distributed by Tubemogul.

can I put caliper brakes on the front & back if I'd like? I'd swap out the rear wheel for a freewheel, so I'd need hand brakes.

I just bought the Dahon Speed Uno with blue/white stripe and it's a great bike so far. It's pretty durable, lightweight and great for my commute with no hills, however I think it's gonna be upgraded to a 2 speed very soon. Good leg workout though!

coaster brake rocks :-)

Hi. Is this bike forgiving on the uphills?
-
Does the seat have to go up that high ... How much is it ???

Can you do a review of the Mobic Life X7 folding bike please?
-
like any single-speed bike, you are assumed to be relatively light weight and in good shape to ride it anywhere but on flat ground

I purchase the speed uno through you guys on amazon, thanks for the fast shipping. I was wondering what difference should i expect were i to put the big apple tires on my speed uno?

The Mu Uno is a nice upgrade from the speed uno, with a better frame, nicer front hub, upgraded grips, and a lighter weight to boot. It also comes with a front hand brake whereas the speed uno is coaster brake only. The speed uno is a popular bike as it is one of the cheaper models, but in my experience it's worth it to spend a little extra for the Mu uno. It will last longer and ride better over the years. I have the same question as commentor below. What's the difference? I've read a bit on both but nothing popped out

Whats the difference between the speed uno and the mu uno?
-
I can help with that bag need.
-
How does the Mu Uno compare to the Tern Link Uno?
-
Yes, these are designed more with carrying than rolling in mind. Investing in a carry bag might help. -Miles

I bought a Mu Uno. Its the second best looking folding bike after Brompton. One draw back though is that, once folded, it becomes very difficult to handle because it only rolls on one wheel because the other wheel does not touch the ground. So You have to permanently counterbalance with your fist. exausting

Coaster breaks are the ones where you backpedal
-
Yeah, it's a nice one! You might take a look at the Speed Uno, it's similar but more affordable. -Miles

Best looking folding bike there is imo. Love the simple design. If only I had the money...

Technically that would be a break from using coasters. Had I spelled it correctly, we would be discussing coaster brakes, which is a kind of drum brake. Check out the wiki article for an in-depth description. -Miles
