i feel like the man video taping was more involved with video taping your face rather then the engine and what you were doing

15:30 nailpolish is a good thing to mark the chain with. :D
-
nice video Greetings from baja california
-
why struggle with the cams like that just mark the cam and chain with dots or scratch with screw driver much more reliable than hes method
-
top dead end..? meaning the rod/piston must be upright position right?

I have a 05 Yamaha YZ450F that will not turn over. It started with a bog/hesitation & pop sounds than shuts off completely. Values checked 100% and are good. Air filter checked and good. Fresh gas & oil, new spark plug, added a new fuel screw, cleaned carb 100%. Far as the top/bottom end is concerned in my opinion I believe they're all good because I don't ride it everyday or every week. I have a rebuild carb kit coming this week which I will install it just in case. Do you all think I'm over looking something that needs attention? Maybe the float is stuck or something like that!

too much work and things to do for me. I'll stick to simple 2 strokes. enjoy riding 450fs but don't want to own one.

hey i have a 2005 ttr-125ET and I fried the piston rings, i orderd new ring and put them in and it smoked a lot but now...not so much. Its been about 4-5 months since i put in the rings how long will it take for my bike to stop smoking please and thank you

I always enjoy Steve Matthes tutorials his videos have been a life saver for me on my ktm 450
-
This video is useless for new people, he uses too many technical words when describing parts or locations.
-
If you put a feeler gauge between the piston inside the cylinder without the oil rings what are the typical measurements? I'm rebuilding a ktm and my feeler guard reads .381mm. I got piston slap on new parts and trying to fight warranty for improperly marked oem parts.

How do you set a torque wrench to 24 ft lbs lol
-
Not sure why video makers insist on showing the disassembly of things without showing the reassembly of it. It would have been nice to see you tighten the chain especially considering the tensioner tends to bring timing off a tooth
-
Hello.
I blow a valve on my 250 kawasaki i change the valve but it sims to shot compression back into carburetor -
Do you recommend measuring the ring gap before installing the piston?
-
Outstanding.
-
Didn't see you tighten the cam tensioner when turned it over
-
2 stroke is so much easier
-
I got a kx250f and white smokes pours out of the over flow on the radiator and I think it is getting over heated but it runs and starts good but could you please help me thank you.
-
Yep Nice video, but when you installed the chain guide back in first you put it in correctly and camera cuts out .. then you put it in upside down. that may not be a good thing for people wanting to wonder HOW TO….
