DIY Warrior Tadpole Trike
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
I'm 14 and I made the trike for a school project and it has been great ever since. I started by buying some GREAT plans off Brad Graham and Kathy McGowan, Atomic Zombie Extreme Machines. Within 6 months it was rolling happily down the road.

That trike is awesome! How low is that seat from the ground?
-
Very good project
Could I pass the plans to do the same?
Thanks -
is this bike better than the traditional normal bike (on two wheels ) ? why?
-
Nice bike...some questions though?
Is it just the same as bicycle keeping pedal cadence?
Can you gear it low enough for uphills, but still good for on the flat?
I have a lung/breathing problem so no cycles for me, this looks do-able though.

What was your total costs for these plans?
Donor bikes, tools, things of that nature before I decide to grab the plans and get to it? -
Thanks :) I only worked on it at weekends. So if I worked every day, I could have built it in a month or so... The key to building it fast is having all the parts ready to work with
-
I bought a £100 mountain bike from a local bike shop. I took it apart and used the parts off it such as the break levers and wires etc. the remaining parts i got from the internet.
-
Can I find these plans in torrent for free? I think these plans should be shared not sold.
-
This is really inspiring. Thanks for posting! You wrote it took 6 months to build. Did you then work all day everyday or? I have purchased the plans and plan on building a velomobile out of it! Thanks again for posting!

i like this, i am looking into building my own and wanted to ask where you purchased your parts. I ask cause i never built a bike like this before so unsure where the best place to find the parts
-
What size square tube did you use ? And how long did you get it ?
-
well done warriors rock regards beefy

@BooKittyRadley Yes, there is a brake on the rear wheel. I had to connect the 2 front brake cables to one leaver but its fine and has an excellent stopping distance.
-
@BooKittyRadley The most I've done is 45miles and that has been fine!
-
Also, did you install a brake on the rear wheel, or just the front wheels?
-
How far can you ride comfortably on it without a headrest?
