I built this DIY electric bike using a cheap bike and gear motor. I didn't modify the bike so all parts can be removed. Motor is 250 watts and has a top speed of about 30km on flat ground. Range will be 50km with larger battery pack (56 cells). I built the battery myself using used laptop batteries (6p6s 36 cells). I made a bracket out of a pipe and welded a BMX freewheel sprocket to it. I used an Arduino uno for PWM speed control.

I cut the threaded pipe in 3 lengthwise section and welded the sprocket to the pipe (1 inch).

how mount the freewheel with a pipe do have a diagram very interested and you could try 48v you'll get like 30-35 but if change gear ration probs more
