http://electricbikereview.com/e-bikekit/e-trike-kit/ The 24" E-Trike kit comes with a powerful 500 watt direct drive hub motor that's preinstalled on a 24 inch wheel. You can replace your existing wheel with this one and use zip ties to run cables along the frame for the battery, controller, throttle and display panel. The kit I test here uses the 36 volt 9 amp hour Sealed Lead Acid battery pack and weighs 28 pounds total. You can also get it with Lithium-ion or no battery at all. The kit has been built onto a SUN tricycle to create a Sun electric trike in this video.

So what's up with this new lingo your generation seems to be using a great deal where every other sentence you guys throw in; "ah, yeah" or "so, yeah"? You people sound like a bunch of 13 y.o. valley girls from the 80's.
Anyway, how much is the kit? Or how much is the entire set-up w/trike & all? You give a Hell of a lot less info in your videos than you do more info, which is what I thought the whole purpose of these videos was for... INFORMATION??? -

I'd rather get a kit if eBay you get a 1000 Watt that can easily climb hills without assistance and can go 25 and from a stand still will blow the tires of.

Drag? Even the geared motors have drag. I know this because I have tested a few bikes from your reviews. Try being more critical in your reviews to help us make a better decision. Might be better off with a regular bike.

How far does it go one charge. How long is the charge.

ive been looking around for so long and its frustrating me, the cheapist trike i can find is if i get like a 250 trike at walmart a 220$ kit off ebay, but then i cant ever find batterys for the kits, where should i get my battery and what kind

I have one of their original kits back from 2008 currently mounted on my Schwinn mountain bike. 36 volt 500 watt and still going strong, still on all the original parts from the kit, only difference is i built a lithium-ion battery pack from old laptop batteries. Great kit and VERY well built.

I wouldn't mess with SLA batteries at all. They cant be more affordable in the long run with a fraction of recharge cycles as lithium. Maybe upfront but you get screwed long term. Not to mention added weight and sluggish performance drop off. They're obsolete.

I have a Merdian trike in my yard just waiting to be converted into the grocery store Ebike. My trike is very unstable and I would not ride it at speeds over 15mph. I have a recumbent trike and I like to cruise at 14.5 mph as it can get very jumpy. Thanks for another informative episode!

Where can I buy one of these kits for the 24" sun trike? My has left side hemiparesis from a road bike accident. She does pretty good with the trike, but struggles a little on small hills.

Good review. I see you have a ton of ebike reviews up. I will be checking them out. Do you have a recommended kit to convert a mountain bike to electric? I also want to make a solar recumbant trike :-)

i had a tire with that exact pattern (of the rear wheels) :)
also that rear wheel should turn a lot more than that
only a front V-brake ? that's an accident waiting to happen specially if you load the back and are going down hill
