I have cycled probably 150,000 miles in my life, very little of it commuting. I used to own a cycle shop and have raced, done long distance touring and road "Gonzo" mountain bike and trials. Americans are so obsessed with the clothing and paraphernalia and "look" of sports and they think bicyclsts are all in a race and must go insanely fast. The simple love and pleasure of moderate cycling has been lost in the USA. When I was a boy I remember endless days of cycling rural and country roads. I do not think that the automobile is to blame. I agree it is more likely the expansive distances Americans must travel. In Europe, towns and cities may be only a few miles or minutes apart. In the USA typicaly they are many miles apart. We are also obsessed with helmets for bikes. There is substantial evidence that a helmet is not neccessary below 12-15 mph. I agree. Search for studies on helmet efficacy fr commuting. You will be surprised.

I once saw four kids on one really large bike. Still not sure how they did it but it's definite proof that dutch people can do everything on a bike lol.

The first ones either got the dare to respond to pronounced incorrectly (due to it stemming from a peer not quite there yet in terms of levels of comprehension our language and pronounciation(s) especially. A whole lot of (some sort of) enthousiasm contained herein, but, as it always has been: control the enthousiasm and seek to understand current circumstances and then, maybe, set out to follow through. Let's get a closer look at the first person dared to showcase her skills in dutch. First off: it would have been better to explain to all of you that the village of Wassenaar is one of the enclaves of the better off overhere. Wassenaar finds itself close/attached to The Hague, the political center of The Netherlands. You can look it up by any means available and thus easily find out that our king and queen have chosen to find their homestead around there as well. The Hague is home to almost all embassies of countries reckoning they should be representing themselves overhere. Wassenaar, for all its merits, since the mid 16th century, with time passing bye, bye, has seen itself sprawling itself and kneaded into the area near the political center, where homes of power chose to establish lives and homes. As you may very well understand, standard of life will have to be considered as exceptionally high -and beyond. For all kinds of reasons the regular guy upon entering will sense it. Correct me if I am wrong here, but I think I remember that one of the biggest criminals we have ever had managed to get to live i Wassenaar for a considerable amount of time. So, what has this vlog meet us with? An immense array of factors that make for "exchange students" not to execute to their best of abilities and most of them are not sponsored or activated to go and see if they want to. Anglo-Americans are known to be as assets putting in the least effort. Followed by African and Latin-American origins. That is what you get in the given circumstances, but please, let's come together and aknowledge that within this community, there is room for free spirits to blossom. This particular video more or less portrays how these youngsters don't have to care about anything. Learning to speak dutch properly, certainly never has been one of their dreams. So, by going about it as people clearly haven been doing, a new sub-section has been created (a new society of people jerking around with language and all the rest that makes up our country. By finding more support from within their levelled societal groups (not recognised by parents and/or guiders), they start to feel safe in this atmosphere and then evolve unto wanting to let the world know that they exist too. So, what we today find ourselves confronted with is one of the results normally sprouting from greed (for power). The first one seen has been living overhere for eight years and just shows that there is no need for her to speak dutch correctly. Neither one of the persons appearing in the video shows any interest for learning dutch. All they utter shows that they don't care. They all have found out that almost everyone you run into in the streests understands english in some way or form. The entirety of people living here, the ones that have chosen to estabish their lives here, the ones that were dumped here, they all will be presented with freedom. Freedom is the realm where one will meet with himself and after will meet with the world. So, where are you now? After having left the world with too much tags leading to this video?
