EBIKE VLOG #5 - Electric Fat Bikes at the Beach in Mexico! Riding with Cabo Adventures
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
The owner of Cabo Adventures in Cabo San Lucas Mexico at the tip of the Baja Peninsula invited me out to advise on which electric fat bikes to buy… They have been working on tours where you can ride an ebike along the beach and wanted a way for kids and people with less stamina to join in on the fun. Riding a bike in soft sand is difficult, even for experienced fit riders with fat bikes so the electric assist is crucial to make this work. We talked over the phone about different options and I asked if my Girlfriend could come along and help test some of the smaller folding fat bikes. He said yes and made it happen! This video shows my travel from LAX to Cabo San Lucas as well as meeting the team, looking at the different bikes from Rad Power Bikes (RadRover and RadMini) as well as VolBike models (Yukon and Mariner) Half way through the ride we lowered the air pressure in our tires significantly from ~25 psi to closer to ~10 psi which helps a lot in the soft sand. As we left the beach a tour of camels came by and we learned about how they live. - Introducing the team and the bikes 6:20 - Bike ride begins 10:56 - Crab and Sea Lion 19:10 - Camel encounter 23:21 - Turtle sanctuary 20:06 and 26:55 - Hill climb challenge 35:26

would love one of those fat bikes, but alas cannot afford it (cant justify the expense).

Just wondering if Cabo Adventures has narrowed down their choice of fat tire e-bikes to use on their tours? It seems like the RadMini might be the general overall best choice since any rider of any height can ride it. The low stand over height combined with the lower center of gravity will allow more customers to use it comfortably. The RadMini seemed to handle the sand and terrain just as well as the larger bikes?
I love watching this video. The scenery combined with the e-bikes makes me wanna go there! -
Great videos. This was the reason I bought my radrover. Riding it in the oregon beaches!

May I ask why you're wearing a helmet on the jetway?

WOW how on earth did you get those bikes through customs!? I had a terrible time trying to get solar panel charge controllers to the ranch in Puerto V. Actually had to fly to Texas to pick it up and bring it in via carry on :/ Its all very confusing to me as I live in WA USA most of the time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
