I just bought a 24V 500W Front Hub conversion kit and it does not work. I wanted to give youtube information about these kits and at the same time ask for help for my problem.

I was watching the vdo and I notice I got a bike like that on amazon, recently. I also notice that front hub, sort of looks like mine that I purchased off of Ebay. Then I thought, Oh, Fuq. I've done screwed up now.....

Mabe a wire is crossed or reversed to the battery connection adapter

I have same problem but with a 24 v to a 250w motor housed in the rear tyre, I had a bicycle engineer spend a hour looking at it, Battery fine, Brake sensors fine, Motor fine, Derailleur sensor fine, The display lights up showing full power, I changed the fuses, All checked out yet nothing, It must be the controller we all think, But he did not have a Chinese replacement or know of a generic replacement to fit, His advice is avoid all internet electric bicycles and anything pre 2012 as they are crap, I am thinking he is right as if anything goes wrong it`s just expensive junk

WILL I GET AN DC- MOTOR ?

FROM WHERE U GOT 24V 500W MOTOR,CONTROLLER AND BATTERY?
AND AT WHAT COST U BOUGHT THOSE CONVERSION KIT?? I AM IN NEED FOR ABOVE CONVERSION KIT
SO PLZ GUIDE ME... -
with a buzzing (continuation) zero OHM reading meter start with checking with making sure that thrust(on) switch is closing at zero ohms at the point of the plug near the controller, check to see if you have nearly zero ohms with the motor connections and make sure the connections are good, crimped properly, the motor connections should be nearly zero a few ohmso if it's higher than that it's defective .
check and see if you have any safety connections that will cut off the movements.
sorry for the bad language but i'm not impressed with what I see. those wires, battery,
are shit . I would ask for your money back ! I hope this helps . -
you know concrete isn't good for Batterys

did you solve this problem? any update? Maybe try connecting one battery direct to the motor and spinning the wheel. Maybe the wheel has to be moving before it works- pedal assist. Update please.
-
maybe you have to much power I had 4 of the small batteries the lights come on but did not work just like ur bike I disconnected one the 4 batteries and it workedso maybe ur have to much power
-
and what was the problem ????

Be careful leaving the controller in a bag mine over heated. Just FYI

He's not kidding about CCP made rims popping the tires. For this price, especially, you MUST cover the inside of the rim with a few layers of electrical tape, or an old inner tube, or you will, eventually, blow a tube, and possibly in a spectacular way. Better yet, if you have the tools, grind or file any sharp edges at the spokes under the rim, or at least fill the tire with some kind of tube sealant. For $200 for this low maintenance electric motor, you can't beat it. Ebikes with a decent range are over $1,000, at least.

the wires in the throttle connector are not connected properly.... look at the positions of the wires in the connector (it looks like a 3 pin only 2 wires are used) ... they are not aligned....

You know it's shit when you see that kolo sticker

thanks for reviewing some of the problems that are out there. you need to go to appliance repair school and learn some trouble shooting techniques . sometimes if you have all the components you might design it so it will work. good luck

the red button is for switching between power modes. 500 and 1000w mode on my 48V kit. Id stay away like plague from anything less than 48V.....bummer that you have problems though...

so what was the problem?
-
change the controler.....!!!!!!!!!!

the price of this vehicle seems to be acceptable, and the fact that one could take it indoors seems like a win win... yet I have the need of a cargo trike, and went as far as designing my own trike, yet now I am looking for the electric motor and other components... the problem that I see is a real pain, is that the battery is way out, to be seen by any one... the problem is that criminals will try to take it, even by force, so I think manufacturers should focus on making the electric vehicle as similar to regular bikes as possible, most of them don't even try to do this... as if there were no crime... the same seems to happen with the gadgets used in electric bicycles, where we see that they aren't making these as if it were for a motor bike (where we can find a panel wit the gadgets included just as also seen in any car), so we see this gadget thing held by weak plastic bands and screws to keep them in place as if one was going to keep the vehicle in a country club, but not in a city or town... at the end the chances of some one trashing you vehicle or robbing it increases... the question here is how to redesign this problems so they stop being problems
