Why pay so much for an electric bike when you can get a full suspension one for half the price..

That Specialized retailer is talking about 1000 watts as if it were something super powerful when in reality, 1000 watts is nothing these days, and any bike can handle that kind of power. I have 2400 watts, and I don't see how anyone can get by with 250 watts, and I only use the power to keep up with my buddies while riding trails.

As soon as the commentator said we will see many more companies making electric bikes for the Australian market my stomach turned over, they showed only what is considered illegal ebikes after the comment, the Aussie rules are so restrictive who would want such an expensive under powered piece of rubbish, I own an ebike and is illegal and so are all the others which are owned by my friends and even the Australia Post ebikes here brake the rules by having a throttle that propels the bike above 6km/ph, thank goodness the police are not interested or unable to enforce the law.

Too bad Australia is a Nanny state restricting us to only 250 watt electric motors meanwhile the US Is allowed 750 watts.
