I shot this video as a first person demo of an electric assist bike from eMazing Bike. It uses the Pedal Assist System to help power your pedal strokes, making it easier to ride, go up hills, etc. Very cool! Check out the details below. Based on Newton's first & second law of motion, the patented torque measurement module (or "TMM" which is located at the rear hub) reads the rider's input while a force balance in the triangular boldface exists once you begin pedaling. At the bottom bracket, the Double Hall sensor aligns and harmonizes the movement of chain and pedaling circulation. Combined with the strain signal of the patented TMM and linearization function, the smart Pedal Assist System goes up steep hills and maintains the same speed easily and smoothly without shifting gears. Similar to bridge triangular truss, the bold pyramid shape of Daedalus E-bike gives it its rigid and lightweight frame while completely and effectively supporting the rider's weight as well as the 100% rear driving force originated from the embedded functions including TMM and Double Hall Sensor. It is a simple design with great performance to let you maintain the same speed and comfortably riding up and down hills. Unlike the rear wheel, the fork in the front wheel is designed mainly for directional control and takes one-third or less of the load. Based on Newton's second & third law of motion, the rider can't get the full driving force from a front wheel-drive; the lateral force causes instability to the bicycle when processing direction or speed change. The Daedalus is designed to be the lightest PAS E-bike due to the complete rear wheel-drive and the rigid pyramid. Whether the rider is changing direction or speed or riding on flat or rugged road, the rider can ride comfortably knowing that the Daedalus was designed to provide stability. http://emazingbike.com/about.html Four years ago, senior engineers (specializing in mechanical and automation) got together to develop innovative, environmentally friendly products that would improve the lifestyles of many. These experienced engineers came from prestigious companies including a leading original equipment manufacturer ("OEM") supplying major parts to well-known European and American companies for half a century. With their years of experience and extensive knowledge, these engineers worked diligently to revolutionize bicycles as a means of transport and recreation while remaining environmentally conscious. This was the start of the Emazing Bicycle Corporation, based in California, USA. After years of hard work, the Research and Development ("R&D") team finalized the remarkable Pedal Assist System ("PAS"), which is equipped with a micro-based torque sensor patented in the Netherlands and manufactured at this leading OEM factory. The PAS is just one of the several features that creates a unique riding experience for commuters, cycling enthusiasts, and many more. Here at Emazing Bicycle Corporation, we are proud to introduce the model—Daedalus. As the name suggests, the Daedalus model is truly "ingenious" and "clever" with the smart PAS installed to allow the cyclist to get around town, uphill and downhill, quite easily. It is an excellent commuter bike with the PAS mode in three different settings to allow the rider to control his or her own riding experience.
