eZee Electric Bike Conversion Kit Review
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This is my video review for the eZee conversion kit I purchased from www.ebikes.ca. Very well designed and built kit and easy to install. This is in my opinion the best option for those considering an ebike and rather than buy a prebuilt scooter looking thing I highly recommend to get a good bike and this kit and do the conversion, you will be much happier with the results.

is it safe to convert the front wheel or the rear wheel?

Your bike must weigh close to a hundred pounds.

the price of this vehicle seems to be acceptable, and the fact that one could take it indoors seems like a win win... yet I have the need of a cargo trike, and went as far as designing my own trike, yet now I am looking for the electric motor and other components... the problem that I see is a real pain, is that the battery is way out, to be seen by any one... the problem is that criminals will try to take it, even by force, so I think manufacturers should focus on making the electric vehicle as similar to regular bikes as possible, most of them don't even try to do this... as if there were no crime... the same seems to happen with the gadgets used in electric bicycles, where we see that they aren't making these as if it were for a motor bike (where we can find a panel wit the gadgets included just as also seen in any car), so we see this gadget thing held by weak plastic bands and screws to keep them in place as if one was going to keep the vehicle in a country club, but not in a city or town... at the end the chances of some one trashing you vehicle or robbing it increases... the question here is how to redesign this problems so they stop being problems

cant see how fast your bike got because you keep pointing your camera down to the ground..plus the price was missing as well

RideKick.com sells a trailer, but there's on utube somewhere a demonstration e-powered Burley. Both of these are two wheelers. Mine will be a one wheeler. You get decent power pulling the trailer?

How heavy is the bike before install and how heavy are you?
-
"It's mostly weatherproof" literally exposed parts just strapped around and hanging everywhere, this thing would fall apart if you breathed on it
Not singling you out, most homebuilt ebikes look like this. -
The sticky throttle is kind of like cruise control.
-
You are the freddest

Hey there, Have you ever had any issues with it in rainy or cold weather?
-
Have you ever tried out a bionx kit? How would you compare?
-
There is no resistance if the power isn't on, the motor freewheels when moving forward under pedal power.
-
when the power isnt on is it harder to pedel than normally?
-
Keeping the shifting system intact is always a good idea. That way, should the battery decide to run out of power when you think it should last, you won't be stuck pedaling using a really annoying gear. I've had this happen a few times, and without being able to shift the gears, the bike would have been a nightmare to get around on.

im thinking of doing a conversion on an older (walmart) bike much like this one with the EXACT same gear shifters and bull handlebars. as much as i like the bull bars im thinking of removing them to use a twist throttle. my question is...do you think the gears are really needed once the motor is on? the reason i ask i because ive noticed some people have removed the (additional) gears. thanks :)

You are correct, different states and counties can have different rules. However, generally, ebikes or conversion kits (like this one) that limit their speeds to under 20MPH are considered bikes and not mopeds. So you generally don't need a license to ride them. Again, local laws can be different.
