http://www.youtube.com/bikemanforu Why do you get a flat every time you ride your bike? BikemanforU shows us how to find the answer. Free Shipping on bike parts, tires, tools, and accessories at http://www.bikemanforu.com In this video tutorial, YouTube's how to guru of bicycle repair carries out a methodical investigation into the reasons behind one of the most frequently heard questions in the bike shop. 'You know something's wrong and you've checked everything, but have you?' he asks. "Flat Tire That Never Ends" delves into a professional examination that scrutinizes bicycle wheel, tube, and tire. BikemanforU shows us step-by-step instructions for isolating and identifying the causes of repeated tire failure. He starts with the wheel, explaining the difference between double-wall and single-wall rims. He cautions us to make sure the cloth rim tape or rim strip is wide enough to cover spoke nipples or smidgeons of air that might create problems for the tube. When he moves onto the tube, he cautious us to use extra care around the valve. We learn how to mark space around potential problems, and how to scrutinize the outside and inside of the tire for minute debris or holes. Now you can fix that flat once and for all. You know bikes. I would love to know how often do you need to have the crank bearings repacked in grease? Also, same thing with the wheel bearings too.

I'never use rim tape and it works awesomely well, But where I"live the only innertubes that we have are those from india and they suck they are so harsh that only leaving it in the sun it will cause it to explode!

What tire is that. Looks like a great gravel tread on A 700c. Love that aggressive look and the gum wall. If anyone knows hit me up. Thanks

Subscribed. Big time

Reasons I love having plastic mags , no spokes no welds , no rim strip , just a tube and tire
-
Why not just use 2 rimstrips, a thick tube, and something protective that goes between the tire and tube and be done with it? People don't want to be detectives they want to ride without problems. If something pokes thru all of that then you must be a 200+ pound person doing wheelies at a construction site.

I had a tiny little piece of wire (smaller that a staple!) that was causing me all kinds of grief. It was right in the middle of the tread portion. Couldn't believe that something so tiny could poke through a new tire like that. It was a stock tire that came with the bike, but was only a couple of months old (Less than a hundred miles!).
I did get that piece of wire out of the tire. It was less than a quarter inch long and about the size of a #28 gauge wire....Tiny! I just can't trust a tire that punctures that easily, so I ended up picking up a new pair of tires, tubes and strips at the local bike shop.
I should have made a video of it, but I just wanted to get it fixed so I could get out and ride. -
this guy is so helpful thnx:-) !!

a little piece, a very little piece of wood on my tire cause most of my nightmares, it tooks me 5 tubes to found it

I learned all this the hard way one day when I was a kid ... fixed the flat about four times before it occurred to me to check if there was something stuck in the tyre. Also, I now never go without some sort of tape on the rim, regardless of whether it is single or double wall.

I just had this trouble today. I had a brand new tube last two miles. I Changed it and the newer tube lasted 5 miles. I'm glad I found this video. Time to do some detective work. Thank you for posting the vid.

also a good idea to feel inside the tyre in that suspect area the stone/thorn or glass may not be visible but feeling gently with fingers will discover it, I had a single hole but two thorns, the tyre went flat before the second made a hole but i discovered it and prevented what would have been an immediate re puncture
