We took three of the best 2015 full suspension mountain bikes for under £1,600 down to the local trails, to answer some key questions that have been bugging us for a while. Could an entry level full-susser really rival its bigger hitting older siblings? Can you get away without paying the earth, but still have the confidence to hit those jumps, or fly down steep descents that you might otherwise avoid? We gave three different riders the opportunity to give three different 2015 bikes a spin on the trail before reporting back with their thoughts.

To be fair to them, these are just xc/trail bikes and although it was obvious they didn't really understand what they were talking about, the test was an accurate one, people who are going to be buying these bikes won't be taking them to the peak district, lake district or even doing big jumps, its an ENTRY Level full suspension range of MTB's for ENTRY LEVEL riders and will more than likely be riding them at trail centres on blue routes, no one in their right mind who is decent on an MTB and frequently do the "proper" MTB rides will buy one of these, one reason being they know these bikes couldn't handle it, but they dont claim that they can. They are cheap bikes and that is it, personally id look second hand if my budget is that, but not everyone thinks that way, especially if they are just getting into it.

Hi gays how is you opinion about tektro brakes and mountain bike Connondale Habit alloy 6 2016???? I see this bike in the shop and test .Light frame and very easy to drive...Crankset not to bad 44,30,20t.How is you opinion gays tektro brakes and this model bike? why don't you guys go take those bikes mountain biking? if you call that mountain biking then.... you guys were literally doing tiny jumps and riding along fire roads. no wonder why those bikes felt really nice for you. I was riding faster than you when I was like 2 years old!!

£1600!!!!! BUDGET BIKE!! I bought a carrera banshee full suspension with 27 gears front and rear air suspension lockout forks and hydrolic disc brakes for under £200 and i think its better than all those bikes. Are these people made of money?

My mountain bike cost 25$US. It's old and Made in USA and never breaks, Works perfectly and fun to ride. Why you need to spend 1000$s ? lol brainwashed by media hype?

I have a 2009 carerra Banshee and I have no issues having fun on it. no one needs to spend a grand on a bike
