There are a lot of bikes available in the range from $500 to $600, but not many will have the features of the 2016 Giant ATX 2. As a recreational mountain bike, intended for general use and mild off roading, the ATX is a value for money bike that feels a lot better than its price would indicate. With an impressive list of features, such as an alloy frame, adjustable front suspension forks, 21 speed Shimano gears, disc brakes and quick release wheels, the ATX 2 is really good value at $549. The 27.5" wheels and tyres are the current standard and offer an ideal blend of acceleration, handling, duability and weight. With pannier rack mounting eyelets already in the frame, the fitting of a rack is as easy as can be and will be very secure unlike some brands where a rack needs to clamped on. What's the difference between this one and the 2017 version? I bought myself the 2017 version so i'd like to know what's different

can somebody tell me what is the size of the frame im planning ti get a atx this November

ive got the 2016 atx 2 i jump like 15m on it and it holds up fine i want new and bigger bars for it though

i use this bike in dirtjump and its good but i change the brakes ,shifter and fork and its doing fine untill now

This is a large bike with lots of aluminum and it has HUGE wheels. The roads where I live are terrible and thusly I need a mountain bike just to get around. The shocks and fork are superb. There are a massive amount of possible gear combos. This is not the fastest bike in the world and it will get obliterated by carbon fiber road bikes. The trade though is a nearly indestructible road mountain bike that will give you quite a workout.

I have the same question as Mau Ski. I've been wondering the same thing. I know they're almost identical as far as components, but the Giant ATX is cheaper than the Marlin 5. Is there a reason for this? is the Marlin actually that much better, or are they just pricing it that much higher because they can? i honestly feel like they're almost the same bike, just with a different price
