I like your bike. I am installing new grips and bar ends on mine and have the shift grip gears as well. Instead of cutting the original grip away, you can just slice the end plug off (the flat bit) and shuffle it up the handle bars leaving enough room for your bar ends without shortening the grips. You will have to loosen the shift grip and brake first and slide them down a bit so you can slide the handle grip up, leaving enough room for your ends. You can get plugs to go into the end of the handlebar tube then so it looks neat. I'm about to do it on my bike so we'll see if it's as easy as I say!

why didn't you just slide the grips and brake levers in an inch to make room for the bar ends instead of cutting the grips?

I don't need to post a video response. There are many good ones on Youtube. I found your video while searching for the correct way to do it. I had to comment because this is not correct.
-
The grips will not move up the handlebar because the gear shifter is part of the grip. placing a hole at the ends to move the grip inwards to place the ends would make sense. I would have done it if I could. If you have a correct way to do it, make a video response.

If I put it on wrong...then I put it on wrong...but it works great. I have no trouble griping the handle bar or the side grips. If you have a correct way to do it..please make a video response to it.

WRONG!!! If you cut your handlebar, then you will have a shorter handlebar grip! Look at it! Totally WRONG! All you have to do is cut a hole or hammer the end so that the edge of your handlebar tube will cut a hole at the end of your handlebar grip and then slide the handlebar grip, brake and gear lever inwards for about an inch to expose an inch of your handlebar to attach your bar end. Take off this video because it is wrong!

Lol, no you don't cut off your rubber grips. You punch a hole in the ends and push them down using compressed air or some oil/grease. Do some research first!

Thanks..I saw the hornless seat on your bike. That is what made me want to do a video response to show you that I have the same seat. LOL Great minds think alike. :0)

Like your hornless saddle (bike seat). I have one of those too. It was like $13 free shipping from Amazon some years ago. It helps a lot. Now that I've ridden more I've come to better appreciate "recumbent" bike designs. Still, this is an inexpensive seat that does a world of good.

thanks...but its not really that nice to ride. I wish I spent my money on a more serious bike. :0(

@Seouldrift7 it's a very cheap bike. Not very comfortable to ride. But for 77 bucks...I can't complain much.
